Cruise America RV Rental

"I was supposed to pick up in a location that was on the way to my destination. I booked on January 30th for a trip that was July 5-8th. Instead Cruise America sent me in the opposite direction due to overselling. I was charged an additional 180 miles. They lowered the overall per mile rate from .39 to .19. I was also given a 100 discount. Which is nice, but means little when you have to miss 3 hours of work and have to drag your spouse and children around through 3 states because a plan made 6 months ago is abruptly changed. To add to the problems, the truck started dying on me at idle. After a series of failed restarts, I finally got the engine to fire and made it a few more feet to a gas station. It ended up being an airfilter installed backwards. I made it to an autozone and replaced the filter. The engine was fine after that. I was reimbursed for the air filter without question by the franchise I picked up from. They were helpful. But the 1 star is for the absolute mess of the reservation process."

"George was great. We went camping at Grove campgrounds in Corbin Ky. The only thing is...the showerhead sprays water out of the side of hose. Water shoots everywhere and on floor. Campground attendant stated it was probably a missing or broken washer gasket inside. Other than that so far so good."

"We were very excited to rent an RV for a "socially distanced" vacation. I am sorry to say that I do not remember the name of the gentleman and lady, but we were impressed with their service and the camper. At pickup, we had a full walk around the camper and learned all the ins and outs of operating and stay in a camper. I was glad to have this, as it seemed intimidating at first. By the time we were done with the walkthrough, we were much more confident. The camper was very clean and well maintained. Our trip was a great success and we will be renting again. One tip for potential renters, get all the insurance and roadside plans. We, unfortunately, had a blowout on one of the tires, but everything was handled quickly and easily and we were on the road again in no time."
