"We appreciate the staff at Bridges Funeral Home. They were very helpful in sending us their itemized list for funerals. This helped us prepare for the unfortunate event. We were able to ask them questions that pertained to the burial and they always took their time and answered each one. They were very hospitable and kind. Many emails and phone calls and text were used after we left the facility to make sure everything was as the family wanted. We appreciate their business, and how efficiently it was run . thank you for giving us comfort and helping the process be so easy. You blessed our family with peacefulness on her entrance to heaven. May you and your staff have many blessings."
"I normally don’t do reviews, but I felt this was necessary. I am learning more and more from family since having to bury my daughter. They kept it all quiet in the moment, and a lot of things got past me because the grief was so strong that nothing around me really seemed real at the moment. Jim Rucker was our funeral Director. He took on this position, knowing that he would need to help people in their saddest moments. Honestly, he should pick a different profession. When my family went in to plan my 30 year old daughters unexpected death, we were at a loss, as should be expected. We had a lot of question and it took us maybe a little longer than expected to make our decisions as to what burial choices we wanted for my girl. And the fact that we dropped over $15,000 in this place. That’s $15,000 that we didn’t have and we didn’t expect considering this was a very unexpected loss. We got a lot of “huffing and puffing, and eye rolling and just out right rude, impatient, really cruel behavior. This behavior is unacceptable regardless of who you are burying. Whether it be somebody who has lived out their life, or whether it be a child who you should never have to be going through something like this with. My parents are in horrible health, and my mother having 12 cardiac stents made it that much harder having to bury their grandchild. I’m learning now just how rude he was to my parents who struggled to make it through these days but tried to be strong for me. The only person who got any kind of respect from this man was the one who was paying this insane amount to bury my child. Where $15,000 may not have been good enough for them and may be cheap for some people, it was a lot for my family. I recommend you finding someone who went into this profession for the right reasons and who knows how to actually comfort someone in their horrible time of loss. Losing my daughter was the absolute worst pain I have ever felt in my life and it’s a pain that will never go away. Mr. Rucker could’ve never found the right words to ease that pain, but he damn sure could’ve tried."
"While I'm not a fan of writing reviews, this will be my first for this business and definitely my last. The funeral home and crematorium businesses are extremely trust based fields, and unfortunately for our family we have lost that faith in Bridges. Now, I understand when you order something, you should look at your order to make sure it's right, however, this type of service should not be comparable to a Walmart pick up. It seems like my mother's ashes were shuffled around like overstock, allegedly sitting there for months. I'm leaving 2 stars because Jim was incredibly kind, but kindness can only go so far. I feel Bridges really let us down and didn't take missing cremains seriously."
"Dennis and his staff were wonderful handling my Mother’s funeral and burial. My Mom always said she wanted to go to Bridges Funeral Home. I had never been there and now I know why she had chosen Bridges. One of the most beautiful funeral homes I have ever seen. Thanks again for an easy process followed by tremendous service. I highly recommend them."
"By chance and unexpected death I reached out to Bridges and spoke with Mr. Rucker. From the 1st interaction we felt supported, cared for and never felt like just another business transaction. Jim was patient, clear, gave us many options, provided clear pricing (which unfortunately many funeral homes are not forth coming about), and he loved on our family through the whole process. While I hope we don't have more deaths anytime soon I can say without question Bridges Funeral Home will be our choice and will absolutely be my recommendation to anyone I meet! Thank you so much Mr. Rucker and Bridges Funeral Home team!"
