Blount Orthopaedic Associates 2001 Laurel Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37916

"My solid advice: Do not use this place for any orthopedic needs. I injured my knee in January, and was lucky to get a quick appointment with these guys and now I know why. Apparently, their medical records department handles all of the precerts for MRIs. Two weeks went by, and still nothing. At this point, I had pain radiating down my shin and my toes were numb. It took me THREE days to even reach this woman. She tells me it’s in her “stack” to do with no indication of when it might be done. I call again a week later. I left multiple voicemails. I specifically told them I needed it sent to Ft. Loudon with it being closer to my home. She sends it to Fort Sanders main. Nobody called back with my MRI results. I wound back up in the ER to find it broke my tibial plateau. So now, I am trying to get ahold of the same woman for my medical records, and wouldn’t you know .. she never returns calls. Please don’t waste your time with this place"

"My wife has had three surgeries with Mark Turner. He is never less than 1.5 hours late for appointments and never less than three hours late for surgeries. Absolutely least professional "physician" I have ever met. If I could give him zero stars, I would. Being late is arrogant and dismissive of others. Avoid this practice."

"They recommended a treatment plan for my son’s broken arm that took A LOT longer then told me it would, and it cost A LOT more in the end too, because it wouldn’t heal up well because it wasn’t in good alignment! When getting other orthopedic’s opinions, they said surgery would have been safer quicker and better for my sons break. I’m very sad I trusted this place and their recommendation. It’s was a financially draining mistake!"

"I was in a car wreck with my fiance and we were referred here. The doctor took care of us, made sure he answered all our questions and was very professional. The only reason it's not 5 stars is the wait. We had an appointment at 3:00 got there 15 minutes early for paperwork, and we're seen at 4:45 left by 5:30 after x-rays. Would recommend, but bring a book!"

"I have had an amazing experience with Blount. After 4 years of trying to have my ankle fixed and every doctor telling me nothing was wrong, they finally were able to figure out and repair the problem. The staff is always friendly and making and rescheduling appointments is easy."
