"I am a former part-time employee of the ace hardware store in Newport TN which is under ownership by KVAT. I was wrongfully terminated for missing too many days after notifying them that I would be out for 2 weeks due to a mandatory class required by my full time job (I'm a full time firefighter and was taking a required medical certification class). This was made mention of several times in the 2 weeks leading up to the class. I returned yesterday to schedule shifts and was told I was terminated by KVAT corporate for missing too many days after I told them I would not be there. Not only that the termination has apparently happened a few days before and I was never even contacted by them to let me know this. This is highly disrespectful and unacceptable after I gave the courtesy of a heads-up well in advance of the daysi would not be there. If that is how KVAT corporate looks at its employees then everyone of them should be ashamed. I lost a much needed second income due to their incompetence."

"Food city on Tesla Blvd Alcoa tn they treat people as if they are nothing and there life and time is nothing me my mom and my sister all worked at this store me and my mom no longer work there due to when we got Covid and had the doctor notes and test to prove that we were told we needed to come into work have the messages proving so my sister still works there and is now being bullied when I worked there I went to hr talked to risk management nothing ever came of it and the problem people are in higher roles so nothing will change this company has shown people time and time again they don’t care about the problems nor will they fix them yall had proper documentation of me being harassed at work and yall falsely promised me it was gonna be handled also have all the proof for that"

"Forget Food City, Clinton Hwy. been going downhill for awhile now. Convenient for me but I will be driving 5 miles to go to Kroger’s from now on. Standing in line (only line open) while cashier & bagger talked continuously. Would have scanned my own groceries but those lines were even longer. I’m through giving them benefit of a doubt but all they hire are young kids that have no concept of work ethic or customer satisfaction"
