"Don’t waste your time. I bought 4 dozen minnows, paid, went outside, checked my minnows and saw literally half my minnows were dead. I went back inside and was told they do not do refund or exchanges. Keep in mind this all happened within 5 minutes of purchase.. jokes on me, I should of checked the minnows before paying."
"This used to be a great bait shop until it changed owners and rearranged. I stopped in last week with 7 in our fishing group. We purchased three dozen minnows and the largest ones were the size of the smallest ones you used to get and many died within 30 min in a new insulated bucket at night out of heat or sunlight. We also purchased some nightcrawlers but they ended up being small thin worms and mostly dirt. I myself purchased a $60.00 fishing rod and reel that ended up being defective. I have 5 others poles in my jeep that I own, so thankfully I had an extra. I tried to return it a day later to the same employee, with the receipt and all tags, plastic wrapped bar code, sticker in tact, in excellent condition and the owner stated he has a no return policy after he took it apart on his counter and was not able to make it reverse properly either. I then asked if I could exchange it for another one and he then stated that his business makes very little money and they do not allow any returns or exchanges and are no responsible for the quality of their products. He stated all sales are final no matter what the situation is. When I asked him where his return policy was posted he stated it was the customer's responsibility to know this. I insisted that if he in fact had a no-return policy (which is perfectly fine) he should have had that posted somewhere clearly visible as state law requires. I absolutely would not have purchased a rod and reel from an establishment that wouldn't accept return if it was found immediately defective. There's absolutely nothing posted anywhere in the store; I asked him twice, do you have any signs stating all purchace are final or no returns or any policies anywhere? Again he stated it is not his responsibility and that a customer should just assume that for a small business. I am reporting this establishment to the proper consumer authority Monday. I'm sure the other five people in my group that were with me in the store and also made purchaces before we hit the water will never go back either. We are going to make sure the rest of our fishing community is well informed of what this place has become and how they treat customers. I don't expect you to take my word for it, but as a long time customer this establishment over the 22 years I've lived just down the road, I feel it is my responsibility to warn others so they know what to look out for and expect. I'm extremely sad this business has completely lost it's value and is more worried about profit, than quality or customer satisfaction."
