"Took my youngest here for her hearing and vision tests for school. They were very well organized and helpful through the entire process. They were also kind to my kids, which speaks volumes. We also signed up to get COVID vaccines here which was easy to do online. They sent friendly reminders about the appointment and had knowledgeable staff to answer any questions I had. Then they surprised me by asking my kids if they had questions about this vaccine and explained to them in easy terms what it was all about. Definitely grateful to have such a supportive Health Department in our county!"

"If you tell me how to take care of my children will you also help me in the middle of the night if they become vaccine injured? Will you provide care for and financial aid if they have emotional or physical reactions to your mandates (depression, mask rashes, loss of effective educational experiences, therapy, etc.)? I think not. My children are my responsibility NOT yours. Leave them ALONE!!"

"Zero stars, but that's not an option. The fact that this agency even has the word "health" in its name is false advertising. When I went in for my second parental shaming session for making choices that only parents should be making for their children, the level of propaganda and shame that was thwarted on me was inconceivable. The nurse who is required to conduct such meetings with parents rolled her eyes at me when I asked how many data sheets they give out on Vitamin A supplementation and how it can reduce measles deaths by 80%. Apparently, health department staff is not trained on nutraceutical therapies, I suspect because there is not a lobby for vitamins and the vitamin industry is not indemnified from legal recourse should one of their products cause harm to someone taking them. The fact that we live in a culture that has normalized government overreach and parental shaming for making their own informed choices is incomprehensible. Even if there are not specific guidelines in place requiring professional conduct, these are grown adults working for this agency who know better. I do want to commend the BCHD on one thing... the breastfeeding display in the waiting area is well done, however, it is about 50 years late to the game. While public health agencies and doctors offices were touting formula as far superior to breast milk for decades because there were financial incentives to do so, parents who did their own research and did not outsource their own decision making for their families have continued to make choices including breast over formula feeding while the health departments caught up. History continues to point to a latency in public health policy. It happened with breastfeeding, it happened with cigarette smoking, it happened with the opioid crisis, and it has happened with countless pharmaceuticals and medical device products. Our children will not be the consequences of these financially incentivized agencies to continue to act as the agents of for profit, indemnified corporations that have zero connection or stake in our families well being."

"If Google allowed me to give you a zero star review, I would! You’re lumping “probable cases” in w positives so the numbers are skewed. The CDC nor the state has mask mandates for businesses. You’ve allowed concerts, sports, youth camps, fairs open beaches, community pools and giant festivals all summer. But now as the kids go back to school you want to start w the mandates again! They’re literally the only people you can control anymore as adults are fed up w all of the political narrative! Kids are the least affected population w the most restrictions being forced upon them! You’re not following the science bcuz the science shows the vaccine isn’t working, masks don’t work!! Give us our freedoms back, we will not tolerate tyranny!!"
