"Signs at parking lot say beach closed by township. So we're going to respect that and go elsewhere"
"This is the first beach we visited during our stay. Be aware that there is about a mile walk from the parking lot to the beach. But that walk is scenic and we even saw several deer while walking! Also be aware that the beach has many rocks at the water's edge. It's fantastic for rock hounds/collectors! We ended up buying some water shoes and enjoyed this beach even more! The two times we visited were minimally populated, which is a huge plus! Additionally, there is no fee for parking!"
"I love that you have to take a 9 minute hike to get to the beach, you have to really want to go! It actually took us 20 minutes because the grandkids stopped every 2 minutes to check out butterflies and insects along the way. It’s a small quiet beach, with a lot of rocks to walk through to get about waist deep, water shoes are helpful here!"
"On a little road trip from Paw Paw, Michigan to Iowa City, Iowa- we wanted to make one last stop by Lake Michigan. This was the closest beach I noticed on our way and it was perfect and absolutely beautiful!! The Autumn leaves were falling, the beach was clean and we met some very nice locals on our way out who are now our friends!"
"This is one of my old stomping grounds. Love this beach and park! It's all about nature. The trails are overgrown, but the walk along the dirt road to the beach is nice for those who enjoy easy hikes. I don't recommend this beach for swimming. It's very Rocky, and there has always been a strong undertow at this location. If you decide to chance it, wear a life vest. Don't let your doggos swim here, even if it appears calm. Same for kids. The rip current is too dangerous at this beach."
