Reviews
"The Danville Election Commission is a complete waste of taxpayer funds and resources. The Executive Director needs more training if she's going to run elections. Time to fold their operations into the County Clerk's office."
"Why does the city of Danville need this office? It costs the taxpayer hundreds of thousands of dollars each year to maintain, but all they're responsible for is elections in the city. Why can't the County Clerk handle that? Danville is shrinking, not growing. The office is an absolute waste of taxpayer dollars, especially given some of their recent blunders."
"Danville keeps losing people, yet we still have an election commission. The Commission costs Vermilion County taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars each year. Are taxpayers really getting a return on their dollar when their ONLY job is to run elections. What could they possibly be doing the rest of the time? Does the staff really possess the necessary education and are they actually qualified to run elections?"
"Unfortunately, the ED of the Election Commission lacks both the experience and education to run such an outfit. I've got nothing against community colleges, but in her case, a 2 year degree certainly doesn't make her an expert on elections. Being literate would be an added plus in the position, but alas, that also appears to be outside of the ED's skillset."
