Amelia Schoolhouse Inn

"Amelia School House Inn is the perfect location for exploring downtown Fernandina Beach! We were able to walk to shops and restaurants which is the ultimate convenience. The inn has impeccable air conditioning which is crucial for summer in Florida and I slept so well in the comfy bed. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool and had great cocktails at the bar. All of the staff is so friendly and the inn feels really clean and fresh. It’s a beautiful, historic building and the ambience really adds to the enjoyment of a trip. I can’t recommend it enough!"

"We absolutely love the Schoolhouse Inn. The staff is amazing, the location cannot be beat, and the rooms and beds are so comfortable (if cozy). The Principal's Office is great. The bartender is delightful and you can tell there are a lot of locals and regulars that come in."

The location of the hotel is perfect for taking a stroll downtown. We loved the seating area outside and the bar area. Our room was cozy and comfortable. "Last time we stayed in a premium king this time there were none available so we just stayed in a regular king. I was so disappointed in the room size. There were no dressers and no place to put your clothing other than a small place to hang some, there was a luggage rack, but I couldn’t find a wall that it would fit on that I could put my luggage on it , so if you don’t mind living out of a suitcase, which I do, you would be fine. The bathroom has a freestanding sink, so there is absolutely no place to put your toiletries . The two Tiny 3 x 6 shells could hold your toothbrush and toothpaste and hairbrush. The room felt so crowded."
