"Our family is complete now that we have our new fur baby, GiGi. This shelter is down to Earth, clean, and the animals are loved rather than just being caged up like others we’ve visited. I appreciated the space having a large fenced area to meet the dogs and see how they react to kids, playing, and commands. GiGi is the whole package, I honestly can’t believe how she was ever placed in a shelter but it was meant to be that we found her! "I wish I could give this place zero stars. Disgusting animal shelter. These poor animals. And the disgusting, rude woman who sits behind the desk and apparently does nothing. We must have interrupted her lunch hour (how anyone could sit in there and eat with the smell and visible feces everywhere is beyond me). My three children and I decided to go look for a family dog. We are specific on the breed we would like as we have owned animals before. The woman who greeted us at the door was the only bit of positivity in this place. She graciously walked us through the feces filled buildings to the dog enclosures and then back to the front where she informed us that there are some puppies in the back that had not yet received their shots. The woman behind the desk immediately snapped at her saying no one is allowed back there anymore. No problem. I asked what she had in the back and she at that point snapped at me saying again, no one is allowed back there because people had gone in and out and she thinks one may now be ill. I tell her I did not ask to go back, only what she had. She snaps again saying a hound mix. That’s when we left. I called a few minutes later asking who they report to and they informed me they don’t report to anyone. I will be calling the health department and anyone else that will listen. I understand this is an animal shelter and that there will be smells. But there is no excuse for the condition of this shelter or the animals or the rudeness of the woman."
