"I was fortunate to stop by to visit the fire station with a friend who is a lifelong resident of Jesup. There is an old weathered sign and doorbell on the wall outside that says "Ring for Fireman" This was something I'd never seen before. The firemen we met were very hospitable and even invited us for dinner, which we sadly had to decline due to our schedule. The fire department is well-equipped and even has a new firetruck with the latest equipment for fighting fires. We were also shown their wall of badges. It is a collection of badges from fire stations across the country and some even from overseas. It was a thrill to meet some of Jesup's finest firemen."
