"I went to buy a cake and the only option was a 6” cake which costs $48.00. These people are overpricing because the quality is like cheap ice cream and it is too small, in fact, ridiculously small! The person who helped me at the counter was charging people and without gloves, she touched the merchandise (small cakes) with the same hands she touched the money with."

"It was my first time at Cake and Joe. I ordered an Iced Vanilla Latte and the bacon breakfast sandwich on ciabatta. The latte was ok - I would have liked more coffee flavor from it. The breakfast sandwich was a miss for me. The ciabatta bread it came on was absolutely huge and the bread wasn't toasted. It made for carb overload. I was expecting a flatter/thinner ciabatta similar to Panera, and toasted. I mostly ate around the bread as it didn't add anything special to the sandwich. The bacon on the sandwich was thick and tasty. The service was excellent! The person at the register was super friendly and even let me know that I could bring my dog inside after I initially left her outside. That was great. They have dog treats too. Overall the food was just okay but the service and atmosphere were terrific."

"Cake & Joe needs to add Amazing Breakfast Sandwich to their name. I had the bacon, egg and cheese on ciabatta bread and it did not disappoint, especially the fresh baked ciabatta. It was so light and fluffy, it blended well with the rest of the sandwich. Then there is the Joe...the cappuccino also took things to the next level. Many places cannot do a well blended espresso drink, but Cake and Joe, lives up to the "Joe" in cappuccino. Thanks for great service and a lovely ambiance while I sat and worked. The giant windows that open like a sliding glass door really makes this place a great location to sit, eat, drink and watch the Fishtown folk walk by."
