"If you’re planning to visit this restaurant, be prepared—it’s unbelievably packed, so making a reservation ahead of time is essential. Even with a reservation, though, expect a wait for your table. And if you're tempted by their famous pancakes, brace yourself for an additional 30-40 minute wait after ordering. The food is undeniably fresh and tasty, especially the fruit pancakes, but whether you can handle the lengthy wait is something you'll need to decide for yourself. The experience can be frustrating, especially since the waitstaff doesn't check in on you during your meal. Despite loving the flavors of the fruit pancake, the overall wait and lack of attention from the staff made it hard to fully enjoy the experience."
"Came here with my parents first thing on a Monday morning right at “rope drop” when they opened. Street parking was easy to find as we came a whole hour early. Service was wonderful, we were in and out within an hour, it was very clean and the pancakes were everything we could have hopes for. Coffee was good and the milk was a hair away from heavy cream, all very rich and sweet, as expected! Was a bit crowded by the time we left, but it was worth coming a bit earlier to ensure we were the first ones seated, our waiter was not worn out or flustered, and the kitchen was just starting their day. Overall totally 100% worth it and was a lovely experience. I’m very glad I was able to take the advice of others and go on a weekday and come early. Do that and you’re guaranteed to have a much more pleasant experience, which is true of most restaurants honestly. Definitely recommend HIGHLY."
"I took my whole family to try their Japanese kiseki pancakes and we weren’t disappointed. There are many posters on the wall telling you that their kiseki pancakes can take 30mins to cook and your whole order can take an hour so we knew we would be there for a while. Service was really good, our server remembered when I wanted my tea and when other members of our group wanted it (with food or after) which was really thoughtful. We got the strawberry kiseki pancakes, the fruit kiseki pancakes and the banana and chocolate (regular) pancakes. Our order took time but we were prepared for the wait. The regular pancakes came faster. The strawberry kiseki pancakes were delicious, soft airy, and they had strawberry cream, fresh, strawberries, strawberry, preserves, and a touch of lemon cream. They were not overly sweet. They were perfect and heavenly the other fruit kiseki pancakes were also delicious as were the regular pancakes. Our tea came in a shareable teapot, which was also really good. I would come here again, it was such a treat!"
"I went here waited around an hour to get seated, which is fine because they said it would take a hour ahead of time. However the system they have in place, for people waiting is not efficient, as you will see when you go. I ordered the Kiseki pancakes which took over an hour to come. Very pretty presentation. However, I did not like the pancakes at all, and was extremely disappointed. The pancakes taste like regular pancakes just more fluffy, and there was a lack of flavor in the paste you see on top, I didn’t like it, and it was overpowering. The strawberries were good though. If you get a drink and these pancakes, you are spending roughly $25-30, so waiting an hour to get seated, then another hour to get the pancakes, and spending that much on pancakes I barely ate, and lemon juice “lemonade” was very disappointing. The only reason I’d give stars is because the boy in the front who was the host, had a great attitude, provided great service, and was very sweet! I wish I would’ve went to Pj’s pancakes instead though."
"The kiseki pancakes are worth the wait! So delicious. The service was amazing. Our waitress, Madeline, was so attentive for such a busy restaurant. We really enjoyed. It is a long wait because these type pancakes do take a while to make anywhere you go. They were amazing! The tables were cute and the restaurant was well lit and just positive vibes all around. I hope to come back soon! Thank you for such a great experience. Highly recommend!!"
