"I was treated with kindness, compassion, dignity, competance, and professionalism by all staff members. Your ER is an example of what other hospitals should emulate. In my life I have experienced quite a bit of the opposite from other hospitals. Thank you for having competent professionals on staff. I left with bad news, a miscarriage, without feeling terrible. I left comforted and taken care of in my time of need. I truly appreciate everyone I came in contact with today."
"Worst hospital I’ve ever been to and will never go back. They left me in the er waiting room for 7 hrs after passing out not to mention the staff was very rude. There were people complaining saying they been waiting 10 and 21 hours at the er and still haven’t been seen. Then u ask the staff how much longer will it be before u can see a doctor and they say they can’t give a time or even tell u how many people are in front of you. I fell on my face when I passed out they could have less do a cat scan to make sure I didn’t have a head injury. My face was very swollen and I feel like the staff just didn’t care that I was in pain. They could have least offered me an ice pack. The person next to said she was diabetic and said she had been waiting in the er for ten hours and hasn’t had any food . She informed the staff she was about to have a ceaser and sure enough it happened after that the staff just left her sitting there instead of taking her back to get immediate medical assistance.I ended up leaving and going to another hospital were the staff was friendly and was out in 2 hrs they also did my cat scan right alway before I seen doctor."
"The only cons that I felt was that I had to wait 6 hours before finding out my CScan results. And I was also cold but I forgot to ask for a blanket. Other than that, everyone was very nice and attentive. I also felt extremely safe because security was everywhere. I have never seen so much security in one hospital. Everything was clean, even the bathroom. So other than the wait, it could have been worse. 5 stars."
"We arrived at St Louis University Hospital after trying for 3 days to contact our neurosurgeon. We arrived about 11 am and was put in room 10. Bloodwork was done almost 2 hours before Dr orders and left in the room. When we asked about it, nurse said that's normal procedure. For the next 7 hours the only time we spoke to someone was telling us they were waiting on neurosurgeon. No vitals were taken until I complained at 5 hours. We were concerned for our safety and needed to leave by 6 pm. I have night blindness and it is a 3 hour drive. Neurosurgeon finally came in about 7:30 pm and a 15 minute procedure was completed and we were discharged about 8 pm. We totally understand that this hospital is a busy trauma one hospital. But to leave a patient unattended for over 7 hours is inexcusable. I'm sure the bill will reflect the best of care money can buy, but I can tell you we ended up frustrated, angry and forced in to a dangerous driving situation."
"What happened? 12 hrs no room!! Arrived by ems from work with chest pains. Since I had medical training, I had the up and up in this situation. I looked at my chart checked on it. It stated no myocardial infarction. I don’t need to see the doctor know what that means. Take out my IV I would’ve stayed but staff was so rude."
