Reviews
"St. James Church is a welcoming parish of the Episcopal Church in the Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast. Office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with the worship space (the nave) remaining open until 5:00 p.m. for those who care to visit, rest, and pray. With regret, we have decided to lock the doors to the nave after 5:00 p.m. because of individuals who have abused our open door policy by sleeping in the church, charging cell phones, and eating and leaving trash in that space. Such behavior had become an obstacle to welcoming visitors and parishioners alike, as well as posing a potential safety issue, thus leading to our change in policy. Our mission is for St. James Church to continue its long ministry of being a house of prayer for all people; a place to experience beauty, quiet, and the presence of God. All are welcome. We invite you to join us. The Rev. Neil Kaminski"
