"Rented a stump grinder from home depot. When I arrive to pick up my rental, they were working on it still because it wasnt running. The worker said “we shouldnt even have rented this one” but they gave it to me anyway. First red flag. I asked if it was sufficient for the stump i needed to do and they assured me it was more than enough. It was loaded and brought home. When I attempted to grind the stump, the teeth wouldn’t do a thing. It was bouncing off the stump. I called and they told me to bring it back to swap out the teeth. When I arrive, they said the teeth are brand new and this one isn’t big enough for a 14 inch stump. Online it says a 13 hp grinder should be able to do up to a 28 inch stump. The manager argued with me and even when I showed him the proof, he said of thats a different one. They refused to take ownership that they told me the wrong information as well as having horrible equipment. He was reluctant to refund me my deposit, but after I pushed the topic, he did. DON’T RENT EQUIPMENT FROM HOME DEPOT!"
