"Nice bridge, great views"
"This is a nice bridge. I went here and was satisfied with my experience. This bridge goes over Garrapata Creek and provides a nice of of the creek’s valley and the Pacific Ocean. Sadly I couldn’t find a way to get down to the creek. This bridge is built in the same style as the other bridges on Route 1 in Big Sur, including the Bixby Bridge. However, you can’t get as nice of a view of this bridge because this bridge is a lot closer to the ground, there are hills on either side of the bridge so there isn’t a good spot to pull off, and the road doesn’t curve the way it does when approaching the Bixby Bridge, so you can’t see any part of this bridge below the road deck. I haven’t his bridge five stars because there’s a nice view of the ocean and Garrapata Creek from here and if this bridge was closed there would be no way to access the rest of Big Sur from the north."
"One of the seven arch bridges along Highway 1, the best-known being the Bixby Creek bridge. You'll have to park elsewhere 'cause there's a lot of construction equipment and no-go signage--plus it's down to 1 lane with a temporary stoplight orchestrating traffic--during railing repair, just like the Granite Canyon bridge."
"I've lived in the area for decades but the views still stop my heart! Get there early, bundle up, and enjoy a walk along where the western continent ends at the sea."
"Nice oasis next to the Garrapata bridge. Picturesque stream with crystal clear water. Sandy beach. Walkable stream. Accessible through the Garrapata ocean beach park."
