"I was looking to save a little on my rental and stumbled across Midway Car Rental at LAX. I really couldn't be happier with the service or the vehicle I received. The wait time to get a vehicle when I arrived was just a few minutes and the car was clean both inside and out. The folks working there were friendly and helpful with getting CarPlay working as well as providing advice. Though they offered optional insurance, they were not pushy about it and came off as very professional. Returning the car was a breeze, only taking a couple minutes. While the location is a bit different from many of the major rental agencies, it was convenient to the airport. I would note that they suggest that if you don't mind walking, you can walk from the terminal to pick up your car - it's a relatively lengthy walk and I wouldn't suggest it if you have much luggage. Perhaps on a cooler day in LA, it's doable, but I was definitely drenched by the time I got there. The bus back to the airport after drop-off was provided by Joe's, which caught me a little off-guard and by the time we made it to my terminal, the shuttle was pretty darned packed. With all this in mind, I'd rent from Midway again without hesitation. The courtesy of their people and the speed with which transactions were completed, along with the more reasonable rental prices makes them a great find if you're visiting LA."

"When you go to Midway Airport Location make sure you ask for Ms.Tasha she is hands down the best manager I’ve ever dealt with at a rental car company. Im a constant traveler who travels 3-4 times a month. Tasha made my car rental experience great by being very informative, kind and truthful. "Rented a car from Midway for 4 days. Got upgraded for free to a brand new vehicle. The pick up took about 40 minutes - 20 minutes in line and 20 minutes to actually get the car. To my amazement the car had almost no gas, so I had to fill it up right away. The manager stated that on the contract, so when I returned the car also almost empty I had no issue… If you come with the LAX transfer chances are that you will get into a long line with a long wait. The line builds up in a heartbeat! The staff is pretty friendly and efficient- just the place is busy for sure. Be aware that the rental price does not include the CA liability insurance cost, which is about $20 per day… This insurance is mandatory if you do not have one already… The Loss and Damage insurance is also not included, but many credit card companies cover that of you use their cards… which was my case! The return process was pretty fast and trouble free. In generally I recommend the Midway, my experience with them was at least as good as with any major rental company. Just be aware of the specifics mentioned above…"
