"male hispanic officer at the entrance likes taking pictures of clients waiting in the lobby without their knowledge. extremely friendly staff and helpful insights from such."
"Everyone always has something to say about doing business with the City but I'm going to be completely honest... I think it's them, not the City. I have lived here my entire life, own a home here and a business. The business that I own is registered here, in Cape Coral. We are an HVAC contractor, so lots of permits and such, again through the City. Everything is always smooth and easy. Today, I was in a panic over our BTR. Diane in licensing was a literally ANGEL!! This woman deserves a raise for how kind, knowledgeable, willing to help and easy to work with she was... but beyond that she dug in and cleaned my account up. Absolute perfection. I couldn't be happier!! Someone, give DIANE a raise!!"
"The lady in the cubicle number six in the building permit department has to be the most obnoxious and rudest person. She does not know how to help the citizen here in this city with the proper way on how to get a permit. She needs to learn good manners and learn how to properly handle people who needs help with how to get a permit."
"I have to do this review because I have been in love with this city but there are things that start to get annoying. The police should be better trained or better officers should be hired. Today I received a ticket because the officer, apart from being rude, apparently I did not have a light on my license plate, I asked him please," can I see the problem"? he let me show him and he was able to verify that he did have a light on my license plate. "Look please, my light is not out, it's factory light", then he told me something different, his truck looks dark from behind, it needs more lights !!! First of all, you don't need to be rude to address a citizen who apart from being a good citizen, I am pro-police. Secondly, the officer is not right because I was not confrontational or argumentative, I was just cordial, friendly and this officer was excessively rude. This truck is 100% factory condition and doesn't have any alteration. I am hispanic naturalized U.S American and the officer is African-American, Do we have racial problems? Do we have good professionals in the Cape Coral Police Department? Will this City address these problems among many others? I hope that tourists from other cities see my comment and think twice before coming and having unpleasant moments like I did today... sadly... but it's real. I would love for someone in the government to contact me to discuss the details of the officer and the event... update : This year, we the residents are having raises up to 12% on property taxes.. another one from the city government ..."
"In my experience, the City of Cape Coral is ill-prepared for development. I have been waiting for my pool inspection since September of last year, and despite my attempts to communicate and follow up, the process has been painfully slow. Additionally, my roof permit was canceled months after I had already reviewed everything with the city on site. It seems that the current employees are not equipped to handle growth and progress. I suggest that the city hires new staff who are more adept and prepared for such responsibilities. Overall, it's clear that the City of Cape Coral needs to improve their processes and staff in order to facilitate growth and progress. Furthermore, I had a negative experience with their employees when I visited their offices at 4 pm, only to find that they were closed, despite their website indicating that they were open until 4:30 pm. I was very disappointed with the treatment I received that day."
