Reviews
"Steve is an AWESOME manager. Anyone leaving bad reviews must have been terrible tenants. I've never had a problem. And I'm getting ready to move in Feb. Who am I going to call? Steve first. For available units. Naturally."
"If I could give this company 0 stars I would. My sister rents a house from them and the air is always broken not to mention it's full of rats. They come fix the air every month however Steve refuses to fix the rat problem. He sends someone out but it just keeps getting worse. The house is so infested the rats are eating through the walls. My sister spends most night at my house. I am calling the health department."
"To say that these people are incompetent and apathetic toward their responsibilities is a huge understatement! Had a limb on my roof since Hurricane Irma(Sept.) 4 months from the property they "manage" next door. I gave it a week to be kind, since we were all in the same boat, and to be a decent guy...then called Pelican Homes. Was told by Steve it would be taken care of as soon as possible. Repeated phone calls went unanswered time and time again. It's now January . Ten days ago, Steve finally came out to inspect, told me he had NO excuse and that "he simply f'd up." Told me a tree guy would be contacted...8 days later, I was told he couldn't find one available. I had 6 estimates within 18 hours. Notified him, and was told he'd be gere today sometime after 3pm to drop off a check, as I had them scheduled for 9am tomorrow. Steve never showed. See you in court, idiots! People, I wouldn't trust my property or tenants to this company. They're deceitful, apathetic, immoral, and just plain bad at their business! Stay FAR, FAR AWAY from Pelican Homes Realty!"
"Do not rent from this business!! The receptionist is very rude and if you have any maintenance issues they never come to fix them. It's almost impossible to get through to them as well and they never return your phone calls! They own an apartment complex in largo and the washer and dryers have been broken for at least 3 months now."
"The number listed is a fax machine. The Twelve Oak's property in Gulfport was built in the 1920's & is having major plumbing problems. This has now led to mold in 5 of 12 of the apartments. There is a huge hole in the roof of the duplex in the back & when it rains it pours into the closet. In all fairness Pelican Homes is just the property management firm in charge of the property, the owner died & the property is still in probate & is being handled by an attorney in a trust. The heaters given during the winter did not work for several residents. Over Thanksgiving weekend the roof in apartments 2 & 3 collapsed due to water damage and a pipe butsting. Because of the total dismissal & lack of immediate resolution of this problem there is now mold in apartments 2, 3, & 8. There is now another leak that is leaking into #1 from upstairs & mold is now cultivating in the ceilings and floor of #1, 6, & possibly 5. The mold issues haven't been addresses & they are continuing to attempt to rent out these "sick" apartments without disclosing mold & plumbing issues to the potential new residents."
