"This place is absolutely disgusting. Absolutely do not stay here. See photos. I left immediately after checking in because of the state of the room and they refused to give me a refund."
"I’ve stayed a few times between 2018-2022. The rooms were alright for the price. I mean it’s a motel… Now the only issue I had with this motel, was the location. It’s very dangerous at night. I was followed by a man with a hoodie from the KFC to the 7-11 down the road. After taking shelter at the 7-11, he went on elsewhere after waiting for me outside for 15 minutes. I would recommend taking an Uber or Cab from the motel, especially after 8pm."
"This is the worst place to rent a room and dirty as hell I see why the have a rating below 3 they have trash running their business it's a dump inside and the customer service is ghetto and that's coming from man of color save yourself from this trash place and not rent from this place where you and the roaches share the same living space"
"I arrived at the Budget Inn Hotel at 800 34th Street North in St Petersburg, Florida at 3:30 PM EST on Monday, 31 July 2023. The entrance to hotel lobby was locked, with what appeared to be many guests waiting at the hotel front desk, and at least two attendants behind the front desk within the lobby. I waited no less than twenty minutes outside an outdoor window counter before three guests left the lobby and one of the front desk attendants unlocked the entrance to the hotel lobby, to let me in. Upon entering the lobby, I realized that there were at least a half dozen hotel staff in or around the front desk. After checking in and receiving my hotel room key card for room 210, I made my way to my hotel room where I immediately noticed the hotel room door was both unlocked and ajar. I entered the unlocked hotel room and immediately went to the bathroom to wash my hands; I immediately noticed that the toilet in the hotel room was overflooded with water around the toilet on the bathroom floor. Because there was no telephone in the hotel room, I called the hotel front desk directly from my cell phone, no less than three times, before I got an answer; I then advised the recipient of my call to the front desk that the toilet in my hotel room was overflooded with toilet water on the bathroom floor. I was advised a maintenance person would arrive shortly, to take a look at the toilet and clean up the toilet water on the bathroom floor. I waited no less than ten minutes before a hotel employee arrived, carrying nothing but a mop. The hotel employee then used the toilet plunger in the bathroom to bring down the water level within the toilet and then proceeded to mop up the toilet water on the bathroom floor, and then throughout the hotel room itself, from the bathroom to the entrance to the hotel room. When the hotel employee left the hotel room, I immediately called the hotel front desk again to request another room, as I did not feel comfortable staying in a hotel room I had witnessed being mopped with water from the hotel room’s toilet. The front desk attendant advised that I return to the front desk to receive another room key card; upon my arrival at the hotel room lobby, I was given a key card for room 211. Upon entry to hotel room 211, I inspected the bathroom, washed my hands, and immediately left the hotel to meet my family members, whom I am visiting from California, I returned to my hotel room later that night to settle in for the evening; I turned the bed linens half-way down enough to expose the pillows and top quarter of the bed’s fitted sheet. After laying my head down onto one of the pillows for a few minutes, I could tell by the smell of the pillows that they had not been adequately laundered; there were also specs of dirt and debris on the top portion of the fitted sheet, and my exposed neck and arms on the fitted sheet were being inundated with small biting bugs. I then got out bed to pull the comforter and flat sheet back further to the foot of the bed where I found more dirt and debris across the fitted sheet and, not a fresh, but an old burn hole on the flat sheet on the bed. Disgusted, uncomfortable and upset, I immediately logged into my Expedia account and booked another hotel further down the street as, after witnessing one hotel room being mopped with water from a toilet, and another hotel room with visually and aromatically unclean bed sheets, there was no way I was going to be able to lodge at the Budget Inn at 800 34th Street North in St Petersburg, Florida any longer.. I checked out of hotel room 211 at the Budget Inn before 11PM EST on Monday, 31 July 2023. Before I left the hotel, the front desk attendant accused me of smoking in the hotel room, after which I contacted Expedia customer service to file a formal complaint about my hotel room conditions and the subsequent endured harassment from the hotel front desk attendant. My stay at the Quality Inn & Suites at Tropicana field was substantially more comfortable and sanitary."
