First Reformed Church of Tampa

"I’m disappointed the church is not supporting the Town and Country area. We’ve had tremendous support from code enforcement, the community and the HCSO in helping get our vagrant homeless population off the street and into rehab or shelters. We’ve worked hard to educate the public about how they can truly help. The community has responded and we saw great improvement. The homeless vagrants that are still here, refuse help. They are selling drugs, leaving drug paraphenalia on sidewalks and grounds. There are proper places to care for this population. Instead, the church is attracting more and more of them to our area by allowing people to serve them food on their grounds. We ask that you please educate yourselves about the situation and help- don’t harm. They do not need food. They need more help and need to be directed to those places, that feed, house and evaluate their situation to provide long term help. Today a young girl was overdosing across the street on the sidewalk while a man ( who’s already been stopped from serving food from other properties) was there serving food. The vagrants were also distributing drugs among themselves at the same time. Please stop. You are hurting them and the community."

"A delightful and diverse congregation right in Town and Country. Not a megachurch, in the best ways possible. Doctrinally sound and diverse is unusual, but I think I found it."

"Contemporary service at 9:30am, Traditional at 11am. Love the friendly atmosphere at both services. Bible based teaching and open discussion bible classes offered. Nursery and bible classes for the children during services as well as adults. Coffee, hot tea and snacks offered prior to service in rooms 1 & 2. Come and join us, you'll be glad you did."

This church provided me with an absolutely wonderful foundation to build on in my life. 20 years later I still remember specific answers and sermons that forever are ingrained in my mind. Thank you so much FRC! I recommend checking this church out if you are new to the Tampa area. It is non-denominational and you won't deal with judgy hypocritical christians here."
