"I had to have surgery on the East Coast to Florida. When the person called to set up the home health care nurse I told her I did not know if I’d be coming home Friday evening or Saturday. She said that the nurse would call me early in the morning to set up an appointment. The nurse did not call in the morning to set up an appointment. He attempted to call me one time And did not leave a message and he did not text me. He called a little after 1 o’clock in the afternoon. I was on my way home from the East Coast. When I when my mom called to tell me he was here I could barely understand what he was saying . And he said that nobody would be able to come out until maybe Monday. So there was gonna be nobody there to check my incision the feeding tube or change my bandages since the surgery on Friday. I called the main office and left three or four messages. I text the nurse and asked for his supervisors name, and the information to contact somebody there he replied, and somebody would definitely be calling me and nobody has called me. It is absolutely frightening to think that this is how they treat somebody with ALS, a terminal illness."
