"Way overpriced and took a week to get a part that’s in stock all over Tampa Bay. My A/C motor went out and they charged $109 to come out and diagnose the problem, and then $389.00 to install the part. That’s supposed to include the part and shipping and handling. My A/C is under warranty, so I’m not sure why I’m paying for a part, plus shipping and handling (Carrier has free shipping). Schmitt installed my A/C when we bought the house, so I thought I had to use them. I’ll never call them again."
"July 2024 I had to make a new service call to Schmitt for my AC as it stopped cooling. different issue than previous (older unit). Paul, my technician, came out to my house on a Saturday. He checked several things to get to the root of the problem and worked quickly. He was very helpful and knowledgeable and welcomed my questions. It was super hot and he had the AC getting us cool again in short time. He also made some recommendations. I'm very grateful that he came out and solved my problem so we could have AC in this Florida heat. I would recommend Paul and Schmitt for AC issues. Once again, excellent service! Thanks! June 2024 I'm very pleased with response and service provided by Beto Rosas, the AC guy with Schmitt. This was the best service experience I've had to date. He was very thoughtful and professional. He explained things for me and answered all my questions in detail, and even gave me some tips. My AC problem was resolved in no time and I'm good. Thank you so much for excellent service!"
"Not sure if you should have a tech working for your company that right from the get go complains about how bad of company Schmitt is. Not a good employee at all. Then on top of so incompetent that he could not even fix my AC issue, wanted over $800 on a 4 year old unit. Called an licensed electrician and within 10 minutes had my ac working again. No charge cause of the mess your tech left my ac wiring in. Your tech tried to take advantage of me and my family without even a detailed invoice on what repairs were needed. I have reported you and him the attorney general running a scam company. He probably should not also brag about stabbing a guy in the eye and how horrible is marriage is to a customer."
"Just wanted to express my sincere gratitude to Paul Castro for going above and beyond during a recent emergency visit. He quickly determined that a leak in our ceiling was unrelated to our HVAC unit, but rather than leave us without a solution, he pointed us in the right direction in diagnosing the issue. Because of him, we were able to get in touch with a plumber immediately and resolve the issue before it became worse. Thank you so much Mr. Castro!"
"If their work is anything like their drivers (or their website); I would suggest staying far away. I attempted to contact them via their web form; but each time I tried (from different computers) I got a server error - how convenient. Their driver decided to play "chicken" early this morning and cut off another car at a merge point; even though the other car had been in front. The trucks right side tires even crossed the white line - that's how little room there was. Thankfully the OTHER car avoided an accident and let the truck go. NO job is worth causing an accident over. I would have reported this on their website; but no email address is given; and as stated above - their "Contact Us" form was not functioning, so hopefully this will get their attention. *Edited to add - I see the company responded; asking for the Truck number. Apparently they were somehow unable to see the truck number that is clearly visible in the picture (138) along with the license plate number, which they should have in their records?? As for the location - given those two pieces of information the company should KNOW where their truck was - but I will say that this was in Tampa/ Lutz on Van Dyke Rd heading West, right past St. Joseph's Hospital North. Van Dyke Rd narrows from 2 lanes to one in either direction and that's where this truck driver decided to play a dangerous game. **For the 'Owner' of the Business asking about what Truck # it is - your vision seems to be about as bad as your employee's driving: the Truck # is easily visible in the picture."
