With over 2,500 interments, it serves as the eternal home to many of Dunedin's pioneer families and notable historical figures.

The Dunedin Historical Society plays an active role in preserving the cemetery's legacy through its Cemetery Preservation Committee. This initiative supports and enhances the city’s efforts in maintaining the site. As part of the society’s “History Comes Alive” program, reenactors bring the past to life by portraying historical figures interred at the cemetery, offering educational and engaging experiences for visitors.

Though there are currently no full burial spaces available, the cemetery provides a range of options for cremains. These include in-ground spaces, cremorial niches, and cremorial benches, all designed to honor the memory of loved ones. Additionally, a scatter garden is available for those preferring a natural setting.

- In-ground Cremains-Only Spaces: $6,018.39 (Accommodates up to six cremains)
- Infant Section: $1,637.13
- Cremorial Niches: $3,248.96 (Interment of two cremains)
- Cremorial Bench Space: $3,248.96
- Scatter Garden: $482.06
- Burial Fees: $50.00 (Available on weekdays, weekends, and holidays)
Please note that per Resolution 08-27, rates are subject to a 5% increase annually on January 1.
Eligibility and Licensing
Licenses for cemetery property are exclusively available to bona fide residents of Dunedin, individuals with immediate family members interred at the cemetery, and past elected or charter officials of the city. The 2005 resolution by the Dunedin City Commission expanded options for residents and family members, reflecting a commitment to serving the community's needs.
