"My experience with the Mayo Clinic Orthopedic Dept has been Excellent. Dr Edward Haupt and his staff have been wonderful. Ebony in the Orthopedic scheduling dept has always been wonderful to work with. I travel from out of state and Ebony works her magic to make sure that my x-ray appointments and my appointment with Dr Haupt has to be after the x-ray. Ebony is a delight to work with. She goes above and beyond to schedule what can be 4 different appointments on the same day. She makes it work."

"You are probably here looking for what other patients have to say about this place, i was a patient in Mayo Clinic JB (gynecology dept) and it was a total disappointment. The nurses are so rude! they were even talking about how overworked they were, the doctor was ok but again appeared to be very stressed out and the reality they didn't help me otherwise they told me to go elsewhere just because they didn't have answers for my condition. My overall experience was fair. If you have to travel do your research before you go into this place and keep in mind the place is very lucrative."

"Dr. Luke Spencer - Gardner successfully repaired my 15 year old daughters torn ( hip) labrum. We consulted with every major hip specialist in the State of Florida, without finding one that met our high standards, or that was willing to take her complicated case. Thankfully, our last consult was at the Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, with Dr. Spencer - Gardner. From our first meeting with him we knew he was the Surgeon we would choose. He has a wonderful disposition that is equally matched by his knowledge of hip pathologies. He took his time getting to know her history, and explained in very clear & easy terms how he planned to repair the tear. He was very patient when answering all of my “mom” questions from beginning to end & never made us feel rushed. I feel her surgery was a success, and has greatly improved her quality of life. Before surgery, she was mostly immobile from terrible hip pain. Within 2 weeks of surgery she was completely pain free, and mobile again! She is now 3 months post op, and gaining more mobility & normalcy with each passing week. I also feel it should be noted that our entire experience with the Mayo Clinic staff, was like nothing we have ever experienced. Lori & Nora in the Orthopedics department went above & beyond to make this a success! The nurses in pre-op & post -op ( Dan) were very kind & patient with a very scared & anxious teenager. Overall, if you are very looking for a Surgeon to do any work on your hip, and have very high standards of quality of care, you will not be disappointed with your experience at the Mayo Clinic & Dr. Luke Spencer - Gardner!"

"I was recently referred for a second opinion in the Orthopedic department. I was pleasantly surprised an impressed with the overall experience. They are very thorough in scheduling, an make sure you’re well informed of the whole process. You are given an itinerary of your visit an they pretty much kept to the schedule, very well organized. My physician was Dr.Trigg, I met with his resident doctor she was great but I can’t remember her name, she took a few notes, reviewed my xrays an went to discuss everything with Dr.Trigg. Dr.Trigg came in was very personable, friendly an he went over everything again an discussed a few different things, options an opinions an kept looking over my extremity. I was very pleased he was not hurried, I felt he was genuinely listening to me an conveyed he wanted the best outcome for me an what he thought I should do. I was very pleased with the whole appointment. I highly recommend Mayo an Dr.Trigg. I drove 4 hours for this visit an the drive itself was miserable but I can honestly say I would make the trip again."
