"I tried to set up a simple interview with a caregiver from HCP to meet with my dad for home care services. We had an appointment set up, but when I called to confirm the date, the company representative kept asking about our private insurance and how we were going to pay. I responded to say that we would have all that information for her when she visits. It was important to us to have the representative meet personally with my dad so he could decide the best options. The representative made it clear that it wasn't worth her time to visit for an interview unless we got her the insurance information. I told her we could even write her a check for the interview! In the end I cancelled the appointment. I couldn't believe this; all I wanted was a chance to meet with a company representative in my dad's presence to learn about their services. What kind of company is this?"
