"Dr. Matey and his staff are great. Very friendly and patient oriented. They share information associated with your present condition and what to expect after treatment."
"This was my first time meeting Dr. Matey and he is very knowledgeable, positive, assuring and a caring doctor and his only concern is to try to get you better. I'm so glad I chose this office and I'm hopeful that I will get some relief soon."
"I'm a Navy Veteran with VA. January 11th I was referred to Dr. Matey. My Dr. sent information January 11th & 12th. My appointment was set for January 24th. My Insurance card was discovered missing from the weekend of January 21st. I called the Office Monday to relay this information and asked if rescheduling was needed. I was told it wasn't and to still come in for my appointment. When I arrived, it was again verified that I didn't have my card on me. No attempt was made by Dr. Matey's Office Staff, to contact my Dr. Office that referred me to him, to verify my information. I was told by *2* of Dr. Matey's Staff members; "I'd be seen as a 'Free' consultation, have "numbers" relayed to me afterwards and could bring my card in next time." The 'Free' consultation, (Included a Tech using an Ultrasound 'Wand' with warm gel on both of my lower legs, before escorting me to another room to watch video(s) for further information whilst awaiting for Dr. Matey.) Upon entering the room, Dr. Matey, first referenced my legs for improperly resting on His stool. I apologized and took my legs off the stool. Dr. Matey verified the general (not specific) discovery of vein issues via the immediate prior Ultrasound and left the room without anything further. I waited a few moments for further information. When no one came back in, I found the restroom and then stopped by 'Reception' desk for aforementioned, information of "numbers" before leaving. Dr. Matey's Staff, still had not attempted to verify insurance information with my Dr. Office. I was handed a business card with email address on the back to submit information to. Upon asking for the aforementioned "numbers" I was told I'd receive, Dr. Matey said; "as a 'Free' consultation it would be "illegal" to give you that information." Whilst surprised, disappointed and confused by this response, I had to get back to work and didn't have time to address the condescending, contradictory and discourteous response of Dr. Matey. I left Dr. Matey's Office with no more information than what I'd arrived with after being referred to him. I did call my Dr. Office soon after to; *Verify information was sent to Dr. Matey's Office. *Verify the insurance information itself that was sent to Dr. Matey's Office on my behalf. I then called Dr. Matey's Office to relay same information again. The Office representative took the information and said they would contact my Dr. Office again. From that day to this, 2/8/23, Dr. Matey's Office has not attempted to follow up with me. I reached out to Dr. Matey's Office today. I spoke with the Office Manager who hung up on me after I expressed my displeasure of Dr. Matey's "illegal" response statement for refusing information of "numbers" to me as I'd been told by *2* of His Staff I would receive. I called back and Dr. Matey answered the phone. I attempted to address my concerns of; misinformation/misrepresentation of information during my visit to his Office, as well as lack of courteous, 'Patient Customer Service' to contact originating Dr. Office of received Referral, to no avail. Throughout the call, Dr. Matey preferred to interrupt me and mansplain that he meant "Medically illegal". Dr. Matey referenced me as angry, rude and wrong for making such complaints to his Staff, before hanging up on me."
