"Trash! 4 hours in they forgot my meds. Wouldn’t even update. Refused BP meds even thou 166/95."
"Absolute worst experience ever. I was having trouble breathing, had high fever for 3 days and was throwing up in the waiting room... they did not let me eat anything or even drink a sip of water. 6 HOURS LATER AND I STILL DID NOT SEE A DOCTOR. they refused to tell me how long it will take for the doctor to see me. The nurses ran a few tests on me but the couldn't not tell me any results until the doctor looked at them NO MEDICINE PRESCRIBED, NO DOCTOR, 6 hours later I . I STILL GOT A BILL FOR $1900. This is ridiculous!"
"My wife is 67 years old and has a history of heart problems. I took her to Thomasville ER in Fairhope at 1:30 am on Tuesday morning 11/21 with chest pains. We were there 18 hours on a cot that was almost impossible to lay on for more that a couple hours, and a small plastic chair to sit in. The attention given to her was awful. We sat in that room for hours on end without seeing anyone or being updated on her situation. They ran some tests over the 18 hours but we kept having to ask for the results. The last test which was an Echocardiogram, was performed at 9am Tuesday morning and we were told it would take a couple hours to come back but it could take several hours for the Cardiologist to read. My wife was not allowed to have food or water so she ended up being 22 hours without eating or drinking. So we waited all day until 7:30 that night and were finally told that the ER Cardiologist had to do a last minute emergency stint procedure and he went home afterward so it would be sometime the next morning before we could get any results from that test. That would have put us over 30 hours in that miserable situation. My wife has an aortic aneurism and we were trying to find out if it was starting to dissect which can be fatal. So after 18 hours of this, she could not take anymore suffering and we left AMA. I would advise staying away from this ER if at all possible and choosing another option. It wasn't always like this. We have lived here many years and are very sad to see this decline in what used to be excellent services."
"Out of town. Had to take mother here for fall. After all xrays were done, apparently dr was not supposed to take off cervical collar. He didn’t deem necessary but when we get to main hospital it was total different story. Had to keep collar on with fractured C5. Next they did not forward the orders for the morphine for pain to the main hospital which was the whole reason of sending her there. At the main hospital they said they didn’t have no morphine to give her. Imagine that!!"
