When anyone is starting a new job they are looking for every interaction to confirm that they made the right decision! I have had that in spades! From the owners, to each member of the team, there has been nothing but warm smiles and sincere offers of help and assistance as I settle into my new role! The culture at Home Instead is amazing! I love to see that the Carepros are truly valued and given so many opportunities to learn and grow! I am so looking forward to contributing to the continued success of this vibrant workplace!"
"Becky has always been the sweetest and most kind person I know. Every time she walks into a room she always has a smile on her face. You are so lucky to have such a great lady with a beautiful soul working at Home Instead. ❤️"
"I'm purposely not sharing my name because I don't feel comfortable doing so. That said, we hired Home Instead to help keep my elderly father company when I'm not here. He doesn't require much at all. When I first made contact with them, they told me over the phone they had programs available to help pay for their services for people with VA benefits. I told them I didn't want to pay out of pocket. They told me this 3x over the phone. Then when they came for the interview, I found out that they don't have any such program but that I'm the one who would have to call the VA to see if we could get reimbursed. I don't have the time or energy for that as I'm dealing with my own health issues. I went ahead and hired them anyway. And paid myself. $1600 for one month. It's A LOT of money just to have someone babysit someone with very basic needs. But I decided to give it a try. They call ALL THE TIME. I'm glad they want to make sure things are going smoothly but let me assure you that if things weren't going ok, I'd let them know. I have a lot on my plate so returning calls just to say, "yes it's fine" just isn't on my agenda. Then they call to let you know the name of the caregiver the next day. Not sure what the point of this is. So they sent one guy out who asked to come two days a week and I said ok. But then he would come over and sit in dad's chair, turn on the tv and basically have dad sitting inside for 4 hours. That's not what dad does. He likes to sit outside and do yard work in the sun every day. So it basically got dad out of his routine which I didn't like, so I called and asked for a different caregiver. The next few caregivers they sent over were noisy, loud and would just slam things in the kitchen. I work nights so I was trying to sleep during all this. We told them we didn't need housekeeping services but they did it anyway. At this point, I don't want to call and complain about these small annoyances, I just don't need to pay $1600/mo for things I can do myself. It's just not worth the money. I don't have any major complaints, just that I find them to be slightly annoying with all the calls and honestly I'd rather have ONE stable caregiver instead of a different person every day."
"Don't recommend working here the bad reviews are true . They do not have the proper resources to provide for certain clients they accept. No back up system when things aren't running properly. Long story short they do lie , they do play with your hours in my opinion if your looking for stability this is not the place . I was fired for false allegations without investigating or doing their due diligence when I spoke with the D.o.n of the company they claimed made the complaint, The D.o.n stated she did not give them a name ,time or date and the allegations didn't fit me because the shift that complained was day shift and I work nights. If your a honest worker and just want the basic respect, looking for a company with integrity this particular Home instead isn't the one ."
"These are the most important things I love about my job being a caregiver providing a sense of pride and joy that most senior don't experience. And I love what I do it brings me joy just to see a smile on their faces And the Family I have came in contact with fell in love with me. And still keep in contact with me I been adopted in there family. You have to love people to do this kind of work. I pray for each ever person I came in contact with. Homestead I love each and every one of you are number one in my book keep letting your light shine. I pray that God continue to bless this company. Your Turley Gloria Howard"
