"He filled in for my PCP when she couldn’t make an appointment. He was friendly, but I had to leave an honest review because I feel that if the information he gave me is what he is telling others, it is appalling- and dangerous. He told me hormones don’t affect weight loss (this is obviously not true), and that if I wanted to lose significant weight in the age range of 40-50, I would essentially have to starve- and eat maybe one meal a day. I thought he must be joking and asked if he was serious- he was. He literally used the word “starve.” I wasn’t his normal patient and he had no idea if I might be struggling with ED. If I had, or had not been as aware, I could have heeded his advice to the detriment of my health. If he was suggesting intermittent fasting or something (he did not- I’m just trying to figure out why he might have said something so off), he should have chosen his words more carefully. I felt I needed to share this because this was not an appropriate way to answer a patient’s question about why weight loss is such a struggle at age 39 after 5 children. If I hadn’t been so stunned I might have pushed back. Make a careful choice about who you listen to re: your health."

"Yes I totally agree that Dr Tan is a fantastic doctor and deserves 5 stars. His Clearwater office receptionists on the other hand don't even deserve 1 star. I needed to give the 1 star just to post. Try and call them to speak to any one of 3 or 4 of them , and good luck. Most of the time you will get a answering machine asking you to leave your message and you will be called back, yeah right,dont hold your breath.Totally UNEXCEPTABLE in the medical profession.Can some please inlighten me on how this can happen. Do they take sleepy pills at lunch? Very DISAPPOINTED....What does one have to do to better this service?"

"Dr. Tann is absolutely the best. I have been under his care x 3 yrs. now. I have been in the hospital x 2 under his care. He is diligent, honest, forthcoming with information in a way you understand. He is thorough, understanding and kind...he will also tell you like it is if you are not paying attention to what he is telling you, to help you. Personally, I appreciate that...why am I going to a doctor if I am not going to trust and listen to what he has to say...I recommend him 150%...Jodie Lindemann"
