Reviews of Advanced Imaging and Interventional Institute AI3
"A13 under Dr. Gerald A Niedzwiecki and his staff are one of the most caring and helpful medical outfits that I have ever been associated with. Their caring extends to making sure you get home safely as they did for me. Dr. Gerry is more than competent and pays close attention to both your present and future wellbeing. I feel very secure under their care."
"Great office and staff. I had a port placed and my experience was wonderful. I highly recommend this office."
"Dr. Jerry did a great job for my biopsy. It was a fine needle aspiration, so I was awake throughout the procedure. The front staff were friendly and helpful. The person who assisted (sorry I don’t remember your name or position - I was very nervous which makes me forgetful) was also very nice and professional. I didn’t experience any complications and was surprised by how non-traumatic the experience was. The big thing that stood out to me was that they stayed open for my appointment day despite the hurricane warning while most businesses started closing. They even changed my time to hours earlier instead of the original afternoon time. I initially was referred to a hospital, but found out my copay would be much lower at an outside office. So I have been waiting longer than I would’ve liked for this biopsy (not the office’s fault), and having it done without another delay was extremely appreciated. Hopefully I never need to go back, but if I were to I would choose this office over anywhere else."
"They scheduled my appt out 2 weeks. Well the doctor didn’t start prepping or looking at any of my records until the day before the biopsy. Turns out they couldn’t access the biopsy and called my doctor the day before to cancel. I could have done a lot in the 2 weeks waiting for this guy to tell me they weren’t capable of doing the order. On top of that, they only called my doctor to cancel. I never got a call from either doctor and I showed up for a canceled appointment. So glad I took work off and scheduled two different rides this day to get this taken care of. What a complete waste of time! Thanks for nothing!"
"I had sacroileac injections at the end of December. The whole thing was a debacle and I should have said screw it and went without, knowing I wouldn't have insurance this year to cover it. They made things so, so much worse. NOW I have sciatica on top of the collagen degeneration, too! Firstly, I was supposed* to get collagen injections for my hips, but the insurance would only approve the SI injections for my spine. Ugh, fine. I called ahead of time to MAKE SURE that I wouldn't need someone to drive me because that means arranging for someone to get a day off work. I was told specifically* that driving myself home, into another city, would be fine. At the time, I was still under the impression that I was having HIP injections. I would have never approved spinal injections. EVER. I'm in ENOUGH pain thank you. I also told them that I cannot have lidocaine. I'm allergic to it, AND it doesn't work. They said that would be fine. Day of the appointment comes. I show up early. They have me waiting way past my appointment time before having me fill out paperwork, and tell me that I need someone to drive me home. WHAT?! I SPECIFICALLY CALLED A MONTH IN ADVANCE TO ASK ABOUT THAT. IT IS AN HOUR DRIVE OR MORE AWAY. Aaaghghgh, fine, I've driven myself home from surgery before. Painkillers don't work, and neither does anaesthesia for very long, so I'll be fine. It's just some stupid hip injections. Then they tell me that the insurance approved sacroiliac injections. In my freaking spine. Which I would NEVER approve, but by then I was in so much pain that most days I can't move, and I'm allergic to most pain meds so that isn't even an option. I was desperate enough to say fine, whatever, here's what to watch for, get it over with. Things got so much worse. I told them AGAIN that I *absolutely cannot have lidocaine* IT DOES NOT WORK. I wake up during surgeries, NO, I cannot have lidocaine, AND I'm allergic to it, use something else. HAHA THEY USED LIDOCAINE. AND GUESS WHAT. IT MADE THINGS WORSE. DID THEY STOP? NO. THEY THOUGHT I WAS JUST BEING A BABY AND THAT I WAS TOTALLY FINE. And by now, my insurance has maybe two weeks of coverage left. I wanted to just reschedule, but guess what? Everyone's off for Christmas for a week, and they don't have appointments for months out! So they go on about how the injections are worse if your nerves are inflamed. I literally have a disorder that inflames everything all the time. THAT'S WHY I'M THERE. Because my nervous system is on fire and my body is eating all of it's collagen. I have a very, freakishly, high tolerance for pain. I have broken fingers, set them back myself with duct tape, napkins, and some popsicle sticks, and gone back to work as a waitress. I was NOT prepared for how much this hurt. I was SCREAMING and they still thought more shots was a good idea. Then they were like "Oh it hurts NOW but you'll feel so much better in a few days! :)" HAHAHA NO IT'S LIKE IT'S FRESH EVERY DAY. IT HAS BEEN SIX MONTHS. NOTHING IS BETTER. BROKEN BONES DON'T EVEN HURT LIKE THIS. NERVE DAMAGE DOESN'T HURT LIKE THIS. Don't bother with SI injections, and if you do, don't get them here. These people don't understand what the word "allergy" means and can't follow basic instructions or answer questions like "do I need a driver" correctly. Even precautions like calling a month in advance to verify these things doesn't help."
