"Was looking to replace a shingle roof with a metal roof on the Copeland Baptist Church in Copeland, Florida. The building is 80 years old and I was concerned that no roofing contractor would be interested in the job, not only because it is 30 miles from Naples and Marco Island, but because it was a relatively small job - a job that would not normally appeal to most all roofing contractors. I spoke with the owner of the company, Rust Russell, who was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I was most impressed when Rusty showed up with his partner early the next morning in two company trucks with ladders and all the tools necessary to thoroughly inspect the building in order to assess what needed to be done. Joseph, his partner, immediately put on boots and climbed to the top of the steeple to visually inspect all areas of the roof. He then entered the attic and took photos of all of the rafters. Two days later I received the most reasonable estimate and shortly thereafter, Rusty's crew appeared and within a matter of less than two weeks, the metal roof was installed. No delays other than intermittent rain. No disappearance of workers as often happens once the first bit of work is done so the contractor can lock in another job. All in all, it could not have been a more pleasant experience and the final product is spectacular. The Copeland Baptist Church, soon to be designated an historic designated building I hope, will be a community gem thanks to the meticulous work done by Rusty and his partner.
