"My experience with Bergen Basin Realty from listing to close. Lee(my realtor) showed up seemingly immediately once we decided to put out feelers for realty companies interested in helping us with the sale of our home. Upon Lee’s arrival you could feel the positive energy and optimism for the quick sale of our home at a price we believed to be fair for the market. Due to delays on our end we were late putting the home on the market during the peak summer season, and Lee did make us aware it could be impactful. After listing our home for a few months we received some interest, but largely from those undercutting the asking price. Lee stood with us as we were in it for the long haul. Lee presented us with every offer, and kept us up to date with the progress at each step of the sale process. The only critique I had was my family and I would have appreciated a little more foresight about the things that could occur based on the condition of our home that was being sold in “as is” condition. There were a couple of minor projects that came up that needed to be resolved by us. These projects created a bit of an inconvenience and added expense as I am out of state. Bergen basin realty handles a number of properties at once which at times left me feeling like home number 10 in the portfolio. After a few months on the market we agreed to bring the selling price of our home down 100k, as Lee believed we may have over shot it. Taking into consideration high interest rates and the mansion tax we agreed to move forward at a lower asking price. With that said Lee always had a resource available to help with anything that needed to be done regarding the sale of the home. Lee is a very kind, energetic personality, and he was always available to message or call. I think if Lee had a little less on his plate some of the hiccups that presented themselves could have been foreseen and resolved earlier in the listing process. Closing, Lee made the closing process as seamless as possible, he educated us on everything that would be needed, and showed up on time to our signing to ease any concerns, and answer our questions. All and all it was a good experience, stressful at times, but I mean we were selling a home."
