"Honestly, this banking institution has horrible Customer service, and it appears that everyone is not too much in serving the patrons well. Do not utilize this location for any notary business, because the notary public on site is not familiar with the rules and guidelines of a notary. God forbid if you do not have anything with your address on it and you only have a valid United States passport, you will not have that document notarized, and you will be turned away immediately based on the fact that you do not have documentation of an address, we are clearly an expressively inside the New York rules of a notary for the department of state, makes no mention of a necessity to provide information about an address. No worries I will not be utilizing your institution for anything ever again, not even to draw money out of it. You may have some people fooled, but for those individuals who are professionally oriented and our problem, solves and game changes the act of your unprofessionalism. Don’t move me or strike me. WARNING: DO NOT USE THIS BANK!"
"I came here to ask about safe deposit box, Patrice was so kind and nice to help me with it, I have become fan of this branch with service I received. Thanks a million."
"This place has terrible customer service. They do not value their customers and treat them terribly. I would rather go to any other back, than go to this one."
"I have been dealing with Ridgewood for over 20 years now, never had a problem with them. The tellers are all very courteous, always smiling. Some of them go above and beyond to help, like Ms. Edith (from the Hillside Ave Qns branch, thank you! I don't know your last name). Some of them who know me for years going there, talk to me as if Iwe were friends. Never an issue. Ange D-M."
"I'm unsure whether I was racially profiled or whether these tellers are unaware that bank counter checks typically do not include a check number. The teller conferred with two bankers behind the counter then presented my check to two more bankers (outside the window) for verification (a total of 4 people). The check was for $7,000. Would they have been as worried if I had been of a different race with the same amount or another race with a smaller amount? Why do I have to stand there and wonder why my check is bouncing around the bank? I had to walk to the back of the bank and ask if there was a problem after leaving the counter. I'm familiar with the basics of authentication, but this went above and beyond. Keep in mind!!! I was depositing a check from my newly opened business account. Not a stranger; this is my account. & If you're wondering, yes, I did tell them it was a new account and that the check was one of two that I got from my Capital One banker. I'm considering closing this account because I'm incredibly dissatisfied. If I had never walked to the back of the store, no one would have apologized for the delay. Instead, I had to prove myself by logging into my CapitalOne Mobile app and demonstrating that these are my funds and my account number matches the number on the check. Not only that, but I go to the CapitalOne website and where one would order a check to show them that this is the "executive check," which matches the check I'm depositing in the bank today. They did not manage the situation professionally from the beginning and lacked basic banking knowledge. I strolled into Ridgewood as a young black woman, glad to be able to deposit a check for that amount into my savings account, but I went out feeling alienated, but I kept my cool despite their ignorance."
