"EDIT MID-JULY 2019- (Thursday @ 4pm) Machines have had buggy software that is particularly dangerous when depositing. SOLUTIONS-(below are incident details, however- the fixes are most important) 1. Immediately after inputting your pin view balance, then proceed to your desired transaction. This will alert you to any ongoing software bug and allow you to exit quickly- machine will not display account balance during any ongoing issue. 2. When depositing and before confirming finally, IF machine displays any error message re your pin- click the small Cancel logo in bottom right of screen. Hopefully this will return your deposit. DO NOT reenter correct pin when\if prompted to- your deposit will still not be credited or returned. 3. After losing deposit, DO NOT CALL (whether branch, bank CS #, ATM CS #), GO TO YOUR NEAREST BRANCH IN PERSON. It's the only way possible to recover your money. Back in 2018 I discovered that if you inputted incorrect pin, the transaction would proceed as normal (instead of asking for correct pin, or even just closing transaction and returning card), accept your deposit, but then throw an error message \ return your card \ and NOT credit your account. This was subsequently fixed, as a wrong pin would trigger prompt requesting pin correction. NOW THERE IS A NEW ONE-- this occurred when both machines had messages announcing they were out of dispensing cash. You enter correct pin \ transaction proceeds \ insert deposit \ cash correctly counted \ you click confirm \ then get a prompt "pin you entered not recognized, please enter correct one" \ machine irregardless cancels transaction without returning deposit or crediting to account. I confirmed this in the presence of uniformed ATM tech a total of six times at both machines. Everyone's pin wasn't being recognized. (Despite warnings from the tech, myself, and previous victims- plus screens displaying "no cash available for dispensing", some folks would heed our warning, but plenty said " I'll try my luck anyway") ( This mini- sample confirms general IRS statistics: half the population pays zero taxes \ 69% pay in less than they receive in benefits\ grants\ subsidies. Coincidentally, see how the numbers mimic school grades of needing 70 to pass? In real life this means half the people you meet are worthless, 7 out of 10 severely deficient at most things in life. Like the 80\20 rule (plus or minus single digits on either side), only 1-3 out of every 10 people you meet are worthy of your time- so choose friends and family carefully, most will pull you down (or at least dirty you while splashing around) with them as they sink in the swamp. As i mention in the solutions at top, no calling CS- calling can only make things worse. Go to a branch in person. Calling 800 numbers of either bank or ATM may actually kill you! During a weekday afternoon you may still endure a garbled transmission to India. Pro Tip- if they ever address you by the wrong gender, immediately correct them. Otherwise they will suspect fraud \ not proceed \ security flag your account... And good luck removing that. Anyway, none have the power to help you. ATM ONLY! No humans. Be aware both ATMS have been relocated to immediately to the left of Elmhurst Hospital 7901 Broadway entrance's automatic double doors. (Regular entrance on Broadway, NOT the Emergency entrance right around the corner, or the smaller annex entrances also on Broadway- must say 7901 high up on second floor level- because at street level there is no signage \ easy to miss. Also, be aware hospital complex is actually a set of non connecting buildings, even though it all looks like one building only. This means that if you use any other entrance, including the Main one on 41st Ave., you will NOT be able to reach your destination while indoors, you are forced to exit and only can access from outside!) You almost can't miss the ATMS as long as you're looking towards the left \ immediately step left when entering hospital premises. Before you had to bear right just past both the information desk and the police desk."
