"After researching and getting quotes from several other companies I decided to go with NYC Great Movers and I am SO glad I did! From the start they were so responsive & helpful. Their online inventory registration was so easy to use and update as needed and they provided me with a new, updated (and very reasonable!) quote right away. They were very patient with me regarding back and forth emailing of documents required by my co-op and allowed me to reschedule my move date without a fee or hassle at all! I thought "wow, if their actual moving service is half as good as their customer service, I've hit the jackpot" and boy was I right! MOVING SUCKS and they made it EASY! They were scheduled for 9am and got a call a little after 8 to confirm, they arrived a bit early which is fine by me "Early is on time and on time is late" if you ask me, plus, let's just get this over with, amirite?! AK came in first and quickly confirmed the inventory and then his 2 man crew came in, they were all really pleasant and friendly, something very appreciated so early in the morning and what is usually a very stressful day! They went at it right away and like a well oiled machine they wraped and got everything out of my 2 bedroom apt with speed and ease. We met them at our new place and because of lack of parking they had to park down the block which would add a long carry fee (that we were totally prepared for as we know parking here is awful) but I found the fact that AK apologised for having to charge us for it was very kind, and genuine. At no time during the process did I feel they were ever trying to nickel and dime me, quite the opposite, really. They got our things in and up to our apartment with the same ease and swiftness as they did getting it here. 4hrs total from start to finish with NO issues and nothing but smiles and hard work. Bravo! Thank you SO much for making what could have been a very incredibly stressful experience a very pleasant and smooth one. I am very, very grateful for this. "Amazing experience! I heard about NYC Great Movers from close friends who used their services to move from Carroll Gardens to Hoboken. My partner and I are so grateful that we ultimately went with this company after exploring a few options. Before the move - Omar was extremely patient and thorough during our first call and provided a detailed quote. The team was receptive to my perfectionist questions and follow up phone calls; They always assuaged any concerns that popped up. Our foreman, Nick, also texted me the day before the move so that I had his number. Day of move - Nick and his team were incredibly efficient, careful and skilled as they wrapped, carried and packed our belongings. (They did this while it was snowing, by the way.)
