"I call yesterday, Sunday and Tony ( guy with beard and glasses) told me he took a personal day l, I briefly explain that I need to adjust my gotrax scooter brakes, also told him that I did not have a good experience with prior bike shop, he’s asked how much they charged for the job at that shop, which o found that very odd. Today I went to shop and it was about 12:15 pm, since they open at 12:00 pm, shop was closed and call the number again and Tony said he was getting lunch and will be there in 5/10 min, I told you open at 12 and you already getting lunch , he said he has 2 jobs, which is not my problem, I started to explain what the problem was when his phone rang, he started talking for a bit and stated putting hands in my scooter I stopped him saying wait I need to finish explaining what the problem was and perhaps an estimate price before anything, I complained about the situation as a costumer and he said he was multitasking, and he has a lot of work to do, he ended up saying that Both brakes were worn out and needed to be replaced, $70, I told him I do not believe it since scooter is brand new just a couple of month old , I mentioned many times I wanted to leave and he kept me talking some BS. He said to go to another shop and they will say same, that brakes will need to be replaced, and if that happen come back to apologize to him, I said really? And left. He had the nerves to tell me that he was not eating and trying to see what the problem was. I wanted to believe this was a nice bike shop, since it has good reviews but sorry never coming back again. Terrible way to handle new customers."
"One of the few remaining honest bike shops in queens and roosevelt ave they Are honest and upfront with their pricing. Literally breaking down the cost and approximate duration of whatever you're repairing"
"I recently purchased a used bike that was experiencing a few issues. After receiving quotes of $150 from multiple shops for gear adjustments and tune-ups, I came across this shop by chance. Anthony promptly examined my bike, spent a mere 3 minutes adjusting the wheels' speed and gears, and resolved the problems without charging me a cent. It was a tremendous relief to encounter someone who prioritizes customer service over monetary gain. I have now discovered my preferred shop for all biking needs.Thank you so much!"
"This is still my go-to for any bike repairs that I need. The work is always done very well and the prices are very reasonable. When I get my bike back it rides like it's brand new. The shop has been in the neighborhood for years and I really wouldn't go too many of the other ones. I have a standard road bike as well as an electric bike and Anthony does great work on both and has extended the life of both bikes which I rely on heavily for commuting to work 5 days a week. He also sells bikes and does consignment. His recommendations are always top-notch. This is a small local business that provides quality workmanship and service."
"Absolutely the best. I was about to take off on the five borough bike tour and somehow my chain was bent. I spotted a nearby repair tent and Bill fixed me up instantly for nothing. I was about to complete the tour thanks to these guys. If you're in the area be sure to stop by this place they are absolutely top notch service. Cheers ! And thank you again!"
