"On July 26, I went to this store. I bought a front brake for my bike for $25, a water bottle holder for $15, 2 bolts for $4, and paid another $18 to install it all. At payment the seller said it would cost $62 plus tax resulting in somewhere around $66, I said ok. The next day saw on the banking app that I was charged $74$. I found the store clerk's number and called them. I tried to understand why I was charged, but the seller persistently refused to accept the truth that she had charged me, came up with the idea that it was a fee for charging a credit card 2-3$. But even in this case 74$ does not get. I finally asked for a full refund, that I didn't want to use their product because I was cheated. To which the seller told me that no refund is possible. I asked how this can be according to the rules I have the right to return the goods within 30 days, the seller ignored me and put the phone. They did not take the phone from me further."
"Took 10 days to botch a simple install. Still charging me $130 for the pleasure of still having flat tires. Filed CC dispute and report with Consumer Protection Bureau of New York. I brought my bike in to have a new set of tubeless tires swapped on. It took the shop 10 days to finish the job. I picked up my bike and paid $130 for materials and labor for the install. They messed up the seal so many times that they needed to use another bottle of sealant and charged me for that. The next morning my tires were flat. I asked for a refund and the shop owner refused. What is usually a 2 day job took 10 days….and still didn’t work. At this point I’m going to take the tires off and do the work myself. The shop owner kept insisting that they had done labor and used materials as the reasoning for why I wasn’t entitled to a refund. 1.) I brought in a bike with a poor tire seal and my tires still have a poor seal. My tires are flat. 2.) I’m going to undo whatever labor they did because I have to take the tires off and start over again. 3.) They used more tire sealant than necessary because of repeated failures to do the job properly in the first place. If I hired someone to bake a loaf of bread and then 10 days later they gave me a burned loaf of bread, I wouldn’t want to pay for it. Sure, they spent money buying the flour and other ingredients. They spent time baking the bread. But in the end…I still don’t have any bread. It took 10 days and they still screwed it up so I want to take my money to a different bakery or just do it myself. Didn’t do the job as promised? Why would I pay? What am I paying for?"
"Great local business. Bought my bike there 9 years ago and have been taking my bike (and my child's bike) there for tune ups and repairs ever since. Margo is wonderful, attentive and patient with all of my questions. Plus, in the couple of times I have forgotten my wallet, she has allowed me to take my bike home and has trusted me to bring it at a later time. Such a great community asset."
"This is the Bicycle Shop to do Business With! Upon entering the store I met with Margo, the manager. I found her easy to talk to and very helpful. She asked me what I was looking for and was very interested in what reasons I had in mind. She was very interested in helping me make the right choices. Having heard nothing but great reviews from friends that have done business with her, I was impressed with how accurate their opinions were. For those who have a fixed opinion of what they want and why, you might become impatient with her desire to question, but you'll be missing out on her experience and knowledge. Better to take advantage of it than to have the opinion that you know better. I was very satisfied with her work and the service she offered to ensure everything was to my satisfaction. A Satisfied Customer"
"Such a wonderful bike shop. I bike 3 - 7 miles a day with my two kids in toe, so my bike takes a lot of wear. Luckily, I've found a shop that knows how to help maintain a bike at a high mechanical standard, with competence, and at a reliable price. Margo always goes the extra mile to walk me through the repairs, and she lets me know habits I can fix to get better mileage between repairs. Love this shop, keep up the great work!"
