Dr. Audrey A. Chong-Gayle, MD 264 Sills Road, East Patchogue, NY 11772

"First I’d like to start off by saying the PA that’s there a few days a week, Erica, is great. Very thorough, great bedside manner and answers every question. I’d give her 5 stars. Unfortunately, their staff measurements, and entry system of an outdated marble notebook made me question every progress report we got, especially when my daughter shrank an inch and a half between visits. Ultimately, it was my last visit there that has made me leave the practice. My daughter was due for a vaccine, it was her 18month checkup. She was teething so she had her pacifier in. When Dr Chong-Gayle entered, she immediately ripped the pacifier from my daughter’s mouth saying “this shouldn’t be in unless she’s sleeping” immediately causing my daughter to hysterically cry from the first moment of the appointment. I asked the Dr if she would be testing for lead (as I’m told they are supposed to between 18months and 2 years) she said there’s no concern for lead on Long Island, which is probably false, but that I should remind her to do the test next visit. Dr Chong-Gayle had a wrist injury, and I, later in the appointment, found out she couldn’t administer the vaccine. Instead of calling me before the appointment to let me know this, the “medical assistant”came in asking where I’d like my daughter to be injected for her vaccine. I fully panicked, I’ve been a medical assistant before, I know they aren’t allowed, qualified or trained to administer vaccines. I asked her if she had administered vaccines for Dr Chong Gayle before and she said “well I’ve assisted her for several years”. I regret not walking out that moment, but I will not be returning."

"My children have been going here for many years. Both children have been her patients from infant to teenage. Dr. Chong-Gyale is super friendly, along with her PA Erica and the entire staff in the Patchogue office. Such a family oriented place."

"Dr. Chong-Gayle was amazing at our first visit. Extremely calm demeanor which is essential when working with kids. Attentive, makes eye contact, actually listens. Explains everything in detail without rushing you out the door. Highly recommend. Staff was excellent also."
