Welcome to the practice of Alexander Epelbaum, MD, FACS, a distinguished urologist located at 373 Route 111, Suite 7, Smithtown, NY 11787. As part of the Advanced Urology Centers of New York, our Smithtown South location is dedicated to providing exceptional urological care to the community.

Dr. Epelbaum is a highly respected physician with a comprehensive educational background. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from New York University and earned his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine. He completed his surgical internship and urology residency at SUNY Downstate, where he also served as Chief Resident. Further honing his expertise, Dr. Epelbaum completed an Acting Fellowship in Urologic Oncology at the renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

An accomplished researcher, Dr. Epelbaum has contributed to peer-reviewed journals and presented his findings at prestigious conferences, including the American Urological Association and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine. His dedication and clinical excellence have been recognized with numerous awards, including accolades from the Department of Veteran Affairs and Kings County Hospital Center.

Dr. Epelbaum is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is actively involved with the American Urological Association and serves as the President of the Medical Staff at St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center.

Our practice offers a wide range of services in adult and pediatric urology, with special interests in minimally invasive surgery, female incontinence and vaginal reconstruction, kidney stone disease, laparoscopic surgery, and urologic malignancies.
