He told me that vertigo could be a sign of a potential stroke, and urged me to go to the emergency room right away. A short while later we received a call at home from Dr. Schmitz, saying that he had just talked to the ER, was informed that we weren’t there yet, and he wanted to know why. And when my wife came down with Lyme disease and then Babesiosis at the same time, we felt that Dr. Schmitz was way out in front in terms of treatment, directing certain tests at the ER, and generally following up quite often on my wife’s progress. That experience alone has earned him lifelong loyalty from us, even though we live less than half of he year near his location."
