"So I saw dr Jacob when I was 21 and my mother and father both just passed my mom at 19 my dad at 20 I started to try and get my life together I just got out of rehab this was my first attempt of getting sober. It was my second day out of rehab I did not use. I took the drug test it came up positive for opiates now I know everyone thought is my lying now I know the truth. Instead of talking to me like professional she came in and reprimanded me but what she said that day I never forgot she said a lot to spare this from being longer then it already is what hurt the most was when she said if I was her daughter she would be beyond disappointed and how her daughter who was my age is in college and making something with her life while I’m waisting mine. Now she had no idea my parents had passed I never told her when I tried to ask to re test the test and she continue to attack so I left crying and relapsed that day now I’m not blaming for her for my relapse but I am blaming her for being unprofessional and taking whatever she had going on that day on me. She unprofessional and bad doctor. This place is awful and discouraging and like other said a money mill. I saw dr seltzer after that incident he wasn’t much better"

"The absolute BEST dr there is!! I love coming too this office because your not treated like an addict your treated with dignity and respect! I had been too a few Dr's before I found Dr selter and his staff and mostly they were just about money, they didn't care about the patient, but with this office they care, it's not about dollar signs to them. As long as you do the right thing they will help you! I couldn't ask for a better office! The entire staff is amazing!"

"Little background first. I’ve been on suboxone maintenance for over 4 years. I was on 16 mgs, down to 2 mgs. I came to this place because it’s closer to my house. The first doctor I saw said “you need to be on 32 mgs” and he will tell me how/ when to taper. I ended up walking out. That should have been the first sign. Insurance charged, copay made. I ended up going back couple days later to finish what the first arrogant, quack of a doctor didn’t do and saw another doctor, insurance charged again. My 3rd time there this doc decided to exam me, making me uncomfortable touching me, which no sub doctor ever did. His reply “this is the family doctor in me”. WHAT. This should have been 2/3rd sign. I go for my next appointment, I have to be seen every 2 weeks, money grab? I get there early, due to an emergency, they don’t even know I was scheduled and the doctor wasn’t even there yet. I wouldn’t send my worse enemy to this place. The emergency was getting my son from football, taking him to basketball than filling in at work for 2 12 shifts. So I would have been screwed. Thank God for good doctors I was able to get an appointment tomorrow Am. I don’t do this reviews but I feel this place needs to learn about person centered care. I am thinking about writing to OASAS and any other agency. Stop taking advantage of the people that are down on their luck. Oh, never once wanted to see past tox’s. This would show my levels stay the same. The doc was More worried about when I pick up my medicine. Avoid this place if you have any length of sobriety. This place is more for early recovery. Imo"

"I have been seeing Dr. Selter AND Dr. Jocobs on and off for years for mental health add addiction medicine. My experiences have always been excellent. It's is my option that rhis practice truly care about there patients. Dr. Selter and Dr. Jacobs have gone above and beyond for in the past and present and no doubt in my mind they will continue to in the future. I feel extremely cared for and they treat me with dignity and respect. I would recommend there service to anyone who struggles with addiction or mental"

"Doctor Selter is a dying breed in Medicine... I have known and seen him for decades and can say he cares about his patients more than any other doctor I've ever seen personally, it's plain to see he takes his oath seriously. I have seen the whole spectrum of patients and you must be dedicated to getting well, and give respect to gain respect, if you do that you will find this to be a truly great office to help you Do as they say, be a little patient that they are SO busy EVERY day, and they will help you with open arms. I see alot of people disrespect the office and expect a red carpet drawn out for them. Those who give respect earn it."
