"Dr. Awikeh is an excellent doctor with excellent support staff. I have been her patient for many years. She is knowledgeable, compassionate, listens to her patients, and provides thoughtful appropriate referrals. She calls me to follow up about specific test results. She has had my vote of confidence for years. The transition to NYU has added a layer of bureaucracy to the office (I miss the intimacy of her solo practice), but NYU is a great network and I believe the move is a good one for her and her patients. Dr. Awikeh has proven to be an excellent advocate for me within the NYU system."

"I don’t know where to start, but if I can give Dr. Maha 100 stars that still won’t be enough for what she deserves. She is caring, genuine, and very professional. I was in her office for over two hours, and she addressed every issue I have. I am leaving it in gods hands, and this doctors hands for a miracle and I am very optimistic that she will lead me to a healthier path. Thank you Dr. Maha for being an amazing human being and for giving me the time and dedication I deserve!"

"Going to start this off by saying in person, Dr. Awikeh is very kind & seems generally interested in you which is why she's getting two stars instead of one. Everything else regarding this practice is a nightmare. First, it's impossible to reach the doctor after your visit, regardless of your condition or any negative test results you may have received. They'll try to get you to come in & pay for another appointment just to ask a question. Realized just how bad the communication is here after my Vet called me with results for my pet the next day and spent 15 minutes on the phone speaking to me. It's impossible to get Dr. Awikeh via phone or email which can leave you in uncertainty & distress if you have a serious issue or diagnosis to discuss post visit. Ditto regarding test results. I've always had to chase them down to retrieve them. The worst part by far is the reception!!! My god, they deserve their own zero-star review. Having to deal with the main receptionist has always been a nightmare! She's rude, uncaring, dismissive, condescending and downright belligerent. She must be family because it’s hard to understand why she is still employed at the office. Expect to wait at least two hours(!) past your scheduled appointment while others who continue to arrive after you somehow keep getting in ahead of you. During that time, you’ll hear the vile receptionist berate patient after patient over the phone and spewing nasty comments between taking calls. You’re better off going to see a movie after you check in then come back a couple hours later. This is no way to run a practice. Been enduring this time after time for years. I’ve had enough. Goodbye!"

"Excellent Dr. Dr Awikeh gives every patient the time they need and then some. She is knowledgeable and patient, also a good listener. The office staff schedules my appointments easily and the wait usually isn’t long, but a few times there have been extended waits. This happens with any drs office. The office is located on a nice quiet block, the avenue offers shopping/food coffee shop on the block. Office has a very clean bathroom. Sonograms are available on site as well as blood draws - when needed."

"Not only has Dr. Maha been my doctor for years, but she’s the only doctor I would recommend to anyone! She’s very compassionate, caring and truly takes her time with you while you’re in her office. What I love is that she will always check up on you after just to see if you’re doing better! She takes time with all her patients and makes her patients feel that they will get better especially while being under her care. There have been many instances where I was sick and needed to be seen urgently and she would make sure I got the proper care I needed."
