Reviews
"This review is in support of the review from XxrawrxX XxKiwixX and a response to the office's own negligent response. DO NOT go to this office unless you want to be harassed about your weight when you are there for a completely different reason. The patient made it clear that they are already working with their primary physician in regards to her other health factors, so it was not something for Dr. Nguyent Duong to concern herself with. Her behavior was a classical representation of fatphobia and antiblackness within the healthcare industry. She treated her patient as if she were incompetent and as if she had no understanding of her own health. This was a young adult woman coming in with specific concerns for specific reasons, and Dr. Duong treated those concerns as a lower priority. Further more, the doctor repeatedly harassed the patient with questions about her weight and other health concerns. When the patients responses were not what the doctor expected or assumed, she pushed harder. If the patient tells you they have no joint issues, no back issues, no history of diabetes in the family, etc, WHY do you insist that something else must be wrong? It is a complete deviation from the actual reason for the patients visit. If a patient wanted to come to you specifically about their weight, they have the autonomy to do so. Considering Dr. Duong is NOT this patients regular physician, she truly acted as if she knew more about the patient's body than the patient herself! This made the visiting experience extremely uncomfortable, isolating, and demeaning. And given Dr. Duong's response to XxrawrxX XxKiwixX's review, it's clear that her level of arrogance and fatphobia has no bounds. Dr. Duong, the next time a patient comes to you about a specific issue, your only duty is to address that issue. If you present another concern of yours, which is fair to do, and the patient insists to you that they have other measures in place, it is NOT your place to ignore what they are saying in order to push your own agenda. A doctor is a guide for the patient, an advisor. You do not have autonomy over the patients body and it is not your place to neglect their primary concerns in order to prioritize things that you THINK are a concern, as you know nothing else about the patient. Your patient service and handling was terrible, and I hope potential patients see these reviews and think twice before considering your services. Perhaps when you are willing to be more compassionate and focus on the patients legitimate concerns, you can consider yourself a decent doctor."
"I came here on 5/30 due to an ear infection. I found this healthcare practice from Zocdoc. The staff is kind and I was able to be checked in right away. The issue comes in at the doctor. I was seen by Dr.Nguyet Duong and at first, she was kind and was able to tell fairly quickly that I had an ear infection, which I knew upon walking in. When I tried to speak about preventative measures regarding ear infections instead of keeping the conversation to what I was there for, she began to tell me that I needed to lose weight and decided to go over a dietary plan with me. Despite the fact, that I said multiple times throughout the conversation that I already have a doctor that I speak to about that. I tried to scare the conversation back to my ear pain and she once again was dismissive about it to speak about weight. I was at that appointment for about 15 minutes. The first 5 minutes were about my ear and the remaining 10 were her telling me I needed to lose weight even though is not what I came there for. To make matters worse she seemed to be insistent on the fact that I had issues related to my weight. She asked me if I felt joint pain, back pain, or if I had high blood pressure or diabetes, and when I told her “no” to all of these questions she followed up by asking when my last physical was, which was a month ago. She proceeded to ask me what my doctor said back then and I told her my doctor said I had a clean bill of health which she looks genuinely surprised by. The doctor then had the nerve to try to set up a 3-month follow up for weight loss. Despite the fact I continuously highlighted my concerns on the multiple ear infections I’ve gotten throughout the years despite taking preventative measures. This was very uncomfortable experience and highlights the fat phobia in the medical system. I wouldn’t recommend this office to anyone off of this experience alone."
"Moon has been an amazing practitioner for my parents. Their original PCP used to make them wait hours for their visit even with an appointment. My dad's asthmatic condition was neglected almost leading him to the ER. We decided to switch PCP when Moon Adult Health opened up. She has been very patient with my parents following up on their blood works, vaccinations, and routine checkups. They don't feel as stress going to the doctor as they were before. Moon changed their whole perspective of healthcare service. I would recommend Moon for she is compassionate, thorough and patient."
"Great experience as a first-timer ! I haven't had a physical exam for almost two years since the pandemic. I am glad Moon Adult Health opens in my neighborhood. I barely waited to be helped when I checked in. The staff and Dr. Moon were all very friendly and helpful. I especially loved how Dr. Moon took her time to explain my conditions with me and my treatment options. I highly recommend this clinic."
"I've been trying to look for a PCP that was close to my vicinity. Luckily, I saw the new opening of MoonAdultHealth in Elmhurst and decided to meet the provider. Moon was extremely kind, knowledgeable, patient, and thorough. She has great bedside manner, and the visit went smoothly. I am normally skeptical of some providers, but Moon definitely seems like someone you can trust. The MAs and rest of the staff were very accommodating as well. This clinic also allows walk-ins, which was perfect for me who is on a tight schedule and able to spontaneously free up some time in between. I will be coming back here for regular check ups. If you're looking for a PCP, I would definitely recommend this clinic!"
