"Went for wellness visit and had a lump, Dr. Barbato then charged my insurance company $700 because he wrote a script for a mammogram and said it’s not a wellness visit because I had a problem."
"I have been going to this Medical group for over 60 years and have always had great Doctors, however, recently I did have two bad experiences. On one occasion I was seeing my primary care Dr. Sonjoy Singh whom I truly adored for his care. On this visit he grabbed my left leg at the knee and ran his hand down to my left ankle when I let out a blood curdling scream as I have RSD which he was aware of. He just kept saying Sorry many times then walked out of the room as I was crying and in more pain then ever. I was then also told that he would be doing another CT scan in three months to see if my lymph node had gotten bigger or stayed the same or shrunk. When April came around he said next month so four months later instead of the three I was told. So I have the CT and his nurse Brittney called me as promised and read me what he told her to read. It was very confusing so I asked if I could speak to Dr. Singh and she said she would go ask him. She came back on the line and said that is what he told her the results said. None of this told me if it was still enlarged or smaller. If still the same it meant either my new norm or Cancer. If it shrunk then it was an infection. None of this was explained so I was upset and yes I did raise my voice a bit as now I was scared so I asked to speak to him again even if at the end of day. She then said to come in to speak to him and I said I can't as I live on Social security and didn't have the money and that if he could just call and explain it to me and I asked them to send report to my back doctor as they found the original problem and told me to follow up with primary. Well they called me back and told me the report was very unclear to them as well. The report made no sense to them and told them nothing. So I still do not know if its nothing or Cancer which im afraid of as my mother had three different kinds and runs in our family. I then get a message weeks latter telling me that my July 25th appt. was canceled and to reschedule it, so I called and was then told I was dropped from their group so she asked didn't they tell you and I said no at which time they asked me if I wanted to speak to the office manager Madeline Dyster and I said yes. it just rang and rang so I called back and they sent me to her voice mail. I left a message and days later I still haven't gotten a call back. I just need to know how to get my records so that I can find another Doctor. If you looking for a Doctor I can say My husband and myself have always gotten the best care there. Now one Dr. retired and one other one passed away so they are overwhelmed with taking on those two doctors patients. But still they are great Dr.s and I would suggest if you're looking for a doctor I would give them a call. Sally Villar"
"After 2 years dealing with this office I am retracting my 5 star review. Dr. Barbato allows his RN’s to be verbally abusive to his patients. I walked out of an appointment after being bullied by his nurse, she was beyond unprofessional and should not have any type of license to practice. He then discharged me for “none compliance” I will be reporting them to the state. I guess if you don’t accept the abuse they won’t keep you as a patient. I have had several emergency medical messages go left unread and unanswered. I have BEGGED this doctor for help for 2 years without any testing. Neither him nor his nurse care about you as a patient. The only person who had any value and respect for the patients was Jordan the NP. I assume they lost her because she had more respect for herself than to stay in that type of environment!!! My fiancé is also a patient here who just today had an emergency appointment for a hernia where they let a nurse “put it back into place” causing his hernia to become strangulated!!!!! We will both NEVER RETURN!!!! AVOID if you care about your health and sanity."
"Niagara Family Medicine is, and always has been, an excellent provider. Their 3.4 goggle rating doesn’t accurately reflect the quality care this practice has been providing Niagara County for decade’s. The issue here is that patients receive fantastic care for years and never take the time to provide a positive review but the first time they’re on hold for longer than they expected or are greeted by someone that may be having their worst day they can’t get their one or two star ratings posted fast enough. Does removing a fish tank have anything at all to do with your care? Does installing a check in kiosk have anything to do with your care? Our community is blessed to have Trinity Niagara Family Medicine. Each and every time I go there I thank my lucky stars that they haven’t relocated to a more affluent community with fewer Medicare patients. So you’re dissatisfied? Looking for a different provider? I’m confident the team a TNFM would apologize and ask you to reconsider. I would say go ahead and leave. I’m sure they’ll welcome you back in six months after you realize your mistake."
"I've been going here since I was a kid and I'm saddened by the changes the new owners have made. They turned the (once very vibrant) fish tank into a showcase, added a check in kiosk to try and eliminate the front desk, and took all of the children's toys away I went there because I'm sick. They did one test on me then sent me home and told me to gargle salt water. I've been sick for two weeks overall and four days since I went there. They didn't take my symptoms seriously at all and who I think was the nurse practitioner barely saw me for five minutes before more or less dismissing me Seriously thinking about changing primaries and I hope this place returns to its roots before its too late. Many are saying the same"
