About the Business
Welcome to the Q Center at ACR Health, a nurturing and inclusive space located at 210 Court Street, Watertown, New York, dedicated to supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ ) youth, their families, and allies. Our mission is to foster a safe and welcoming environment where individuals can gather, share experiences, and receive the support they need to thrive.
At the Q Center, we celebrate diversity and promote equality through a variety of programs and services designed to empower LGBTQ youth and young adults. Our offerings include case management services to assist with housing, medical care, mental health services, and more. Our after-school programs provide tutoring, college counseling, access to a comprehensive LGBTQ library, and state-of-the-art resources at the David Bohnett CyberCenter.
We also offer outreach and education services, including free cultural competency and LGBTQ sensitivity training for organizations. Our special events, such as the Annual Pride Prom and Q Pride Celebration, offer structured socialization opportunities, helping youth connect and realize they are not alone. Additionally, we provide technical support for school-based Gender & Sexuality Alliances and offer free, confidential HIV/STD testing.
The Q Center extends its services across Central New York, Northern New York, and the Mohawk Valley, with support from the NYS Department of Health, Onondaga County Department of Aging & Youth, OnCare, the United Way, and more.
