"Our kids are long time patients of Dr. Ochotorena (since 2012) and we come from Carthage to see her. Every time (at least 4 times now) we have an appointment with Dr. Timmerman, we wait for a minimum hour and a half past our scheduled appointment time to be seen. Today we waited over two hours past our scheduled appointment time to finally see her and then she seemed completely oblivious. It is incredibly difficult to wait so long past a scheduled appointment with children, especially sick children. This would be understandable for an urgent care visit but a scheduled appointment seems absurd. The message this sends is our time is not respected or important. Our health is not a priority. We continue to try to schedule with Dr. O but she is often booked up. We are left with a decision about whether to continue coming so far to see Dr. O or find somewhere closer with better time management. It makes me very sad to consider changing clinics."
"I have nothing but negative things to say regarding my interaction with this office. I reached out to them over a week ago to set up my 7-month old as a new patient. We just relocated to the area (I am originally from here, and we have been living the Saratoga Springs area). I called and spoke with Lindsey who took all of our information down. She said that she would review the information with a physician, and then call me back for next steps. In the mean time, she had me gather my son's records from his previous pediatrician. I have had all of my end of the bargain ready for over a week, and no call back. Understanding that it is cold and flu season, and back to school season, I gave it time. I finally couldn't wait any longer and reached out to the office myself this morning. The first person I spoke to had no idea who I was, could not find out information in the system, had to put me on hold twice. Each time she got on the line, she made me feel like an inconvenience. Our last interaction she said, I am going to have to do some more research and call you back. I said that I didn't really believe that I would have a call back because of the track record, and asked if we should just start the process over - as I believed Lindsey must have dropped the ball. She huffed and puffed and said, "I'm going to place you on hold and get someone else on the line." While on hold, I was so upset... I hung up and called Pediatric Associates. I had another call coming in while doing this, and shockingly it was Child And Adolescent Health. To give them a THIRD chance, I answered. It was Lindsey, she said she wrote my name down on a note pad and completely forgot to do anything with it. She told me I needed to drive to the office (26 miles from my house) to pick up paperwork to fill out, and then return it. Once that was done someone would reach out to make and appointment. This is too much. I asked if there was another way to do this process, she got very rude with me. So I said, "Thanks but no Thanks". I should've gone with my gut instinct the first, second, and third time they dropped the ball. I immediately called Pediatric Associates. Spoke to a very personable receptionist who offered to email the intake paperwork to me --- which I IMMEDIATELY had in my email inbox. And I will be taking my child there. Moral of the story - don't mess with a mama bear. and Mama Bears -- trust your gut. Pediatric Associates for the win. Child & Adolescent Health, your loss. *Peace*"
"Love Dr. Hogan but the management is horrible, rude, and heartless. Dropped insurance and gave one months notice-takes more than a month to get into a new doctor. Wait is monthS plural. Also fill out wrong forms and don't accept any responsibility for either. Calling this a place of health is a far cry when all they will cause is stress with their incompetence and horrible attitudes."
"I encourage parents to go somewhere else. I have been here for 2 hours and still have not seen the Dr. I was told there were 2 people ahead of me when I asked. I have been patient and understanding. However ido not understand the elongated wait. it seems all the rooms are empty and the parking lot is empty. I've heard them room one patient since I've been here who has already been seen by the male dr. We have been waiting for Dr. Timerman. They seem to have no regard for our time. I have to go back to work. I told them a certain time. I've asked for an eta and the nurse told me it was going to be a while. There is noone here. ? I'm confused"
