"After reading a few reviews where there were complaints, AAA responded with wanting the person to send the complaint to an email. WHY ? Why not AAA take care of the problem instead of the people that pay them having to keep jumping through hoops ? Looks to me, a long time member, that passing the buck and avoiding the problem is the new way to do business."

"This review is for AAA in general not necessarily Watertown, but computers being what they are I could not find a "generalized" location to file my "review/complaint." I recently had to call AAA for roadside assistance. I immediately ran into problems. First AAA automated service assumed I have a cell phone. Fortunately, I do, but I don't always have it with me. Also, not everyone has a cell phone. So, why AAA is generally outstanding a service that is unavailable is worthless. Secondly, the gps tracker for AAA located me five miles away from my home. This is critical. I knew the AAA gps was wrong as I was local. Had I been on the road on a trip there would have been no way for me to correct this error. Third, the automated service made it very difficult for me to change the location to the proper location. I knew the AAA local people so I called them with the correct location. All in all, the AAA automated service is an abomination. I'm quite sure an accountant figured out a computer would be cheaper than a human being; but frankly sometimes a human being can do things beyond the capability of a computer. Such as extend compassion. I hope AAA in general takes a serious look at this oversight."

"First time calling this location and it will likely be my last. I can’t remember the name of the woman I spoke to, but she was in the travel department. I called to inquire about a rental car as a precaution for our trip in case of snow cancelling flights. I lined up a series of questions and had all of the information she needed ready. However, from the very beginning I got a lot of condescending tone and rude remarks about things I wouldn’t necessarily have known about- hence my calling!! Such as being underage and those fees, my maiden name needing to be changed to married name on my card, our car size choice with what we need to pack, etc. It was a lot of what she said and consistently how she said it. I left that call with the information needed, but being extremely disappointed in how I was spoken to. I felt like more of an inconvenience than a paying customer. Suffice to say I will not be calling this location again for help."

"Staff is helpful and knowledgeable about almost everything travel-related. That and a AAA membership get you free guide books and maps to use on your trips. I also had to use their emergency roadside assistance on one occasion and the gentleman who came to my assistance was professional, courteous and efficient. Well worth the cost of an annual renewal."
