"They were very helpful and respectful of my time. They answered all my questions and i feel ready for my trip. I've seen other comments about bad experiences with other Bolivian consulates in the US. This consulate in NY was great, and so was Houston, but I recommend going in person. I know it's inconvenient, but just go in person. I tried calling and emailing, but I didn't get a response from any consulate. But they are super nice and helpful in person! So please go. I will say getting ready for my trip to Bolivia had been a time-consuming process. I did a lot of research online and got all the paperwork and online application filled out before I came, but there still were some difficulties. So be prepared. It's hard for them to stock visa stickers, so you may not get it in person, but they can mail it to you. So visit with enough time to get it mailed. Oh and print out everything! That way they can check all your documents in case you need to get your visa at the border."

During my appointment, we noticed that my application form was filled out incorrectly and the consulate general patiently waited me for submitting another form on site. Amazingly , their system picked up the new application right away!! I paid the application fee using Apple Pay and that’s it! I got my visa in one visit and everything is so smooth.
